Ethon O'Brien: This book really surprised me with how good it was. The characters were very distinct and believable. The way they reacted was spot on. I suspect the author did some research or has direct experience with things that may cause severe anxiety, because the little details of how the characters behaved under these conditions was perfect. Such as when Hannah is hiding in the break room and she struggles to control her breathing. She'd alternate between forgetting to breathe and taking in giant gulps of air. Anyone who has experienced severe anxiety for any reason likely knows how accurate this is.
I also loved how creepy Bishop was. If you love eerie horror with tons of blood and gore, this is for you.
That said, I'll get into the reason I took a star. The book could have used a slightly better line editor. The copyediting was flawless, but a few things could have been said better.
For example: When we're reading from Tyler's perspective and he notices the fingernails at the base of the door, it says that the antennas had torn them off when trying to scratch through the door "without even noticing." This is something that should have been said from the perspective...

Silvia van Gimst: Well told story. The topic very disturbing actually. Unfolds logically, and ends withthe reader not getting all the answers. Normally this would bother me, but in this instance it's very well done.

Jennifer L Jones: A perfect balance of simplicity and character/plot development. Towards the end, I was going to bed but found myself a little creeped out by the dark after reading more, a feeling I hadn't had from a book or even a movie in a long time. Loved that and loved that even though it was slightly predictable, it never bored me and surprised me. I'll be looking for more T.J. Payne.

Kirstie Hollis: Incredible!
I downloaded this to be my 'Halloween read' thinking it'll take me 4 days to read like normal... NO! I couldn't put this down! Every moment I was sat down, I'd be back on my kindle reading it.
Great story, grips you right from the start! Even during character building, you know that time where you feel safe just learning about the people.. yea not here! You gotta keep your wits about you the whole time.
This is what I expect from a horror! Fan-bloody-tastic 👌

eduardo: My review will be purposely vague to avoid spoilers. While there are other books with similar plots, this author does it best. The pace is perfect, keeping the pages turning. There is a good balance of story and horror. The ending is complete and satisfying. No loose ends. I would like to see this book made into a movie but then again, Hollywood fails miserably at book adaptions. Maybe an anime adaptation would do this great book justice.

SigourneyCleaver: I just finished this book and absolutely loved it. 327 pages, but it's such a page-turner, one can easily devour it in a weekend. Don't look up story summaries or reviews, as I think going in as much in the dark as possible will make the story hit that much more. I highly recommed it and am buying a spare physical copy so that I can lend it out to others. :)

Amazon Customer: Very refreshing to read something from the horror genre that was so original, intelligent and beautifully written. I had been in a bit of a rut as a being a very dedicated lover of the dark and ferocious reader I was finding a lot of books recently just were just not hitting the spot anymore. This however managed to reinvigorate. Read it in one sitting, much to the detriment of my usually early bedtime but literally could not stop reading from the second I started it. Intercepts is for those horror veterans looking for that hard to scratch itch that years of indulgence in the genre gets harder and harder to quell. Now I just want more...

Christine: I picked this up from a horrortok / Booktok review and it didn't disappoint. Fast paced, gruesome and yet also manages to tug at the heartstrings. I will read this one again

Alex: Man was this a disturbing doozy here. So many twist and turns and the author did a great job in planting the seed of doubts in the mind of the reader. Recommend if you’re a fan of splatterpunk but also like a well written story with it.
