This amazing slicer comes with a removable 7.5" stainless steel blade and adjustable thickness settings, so you can easily cut through frozen meat, deli, cheese, and more. Plus, it has a removable ring-guard cover to prevent debris buildup on the cutting surface and a child lock protection for added safety. Enjoy easy to maintain and use, long-lasting build quality, and adjustable thickness from super thin to approximately 3/4 thick for slicing various foods.Maxbeard: Bought it as a cost saving measure and it has paid for itself in about 3 months. I save about 7 bucks a pound over Boars Head lunch meat, baking eye of round roasts and slicing them. We make 5 sandwiches per work day and this is saving us a bunch of money. It cuts nicely, but does make tiny meat slivers at the cutting edge. Haven't tried bread or cheese yet, but cuts up beef and chicken breasts precisely.

mistersnoidmistersnoid: When I made some bacon, and hand-sliced a few slabs, I knew I really wanted an electric slicer. Then I realized that some of these slicers can also do bread! I've been hand-slicing an average of two loaves per week of fine, crusty sourdough bread, and it's a bunch of work.
The moment this slicer arrived, I ran a slab of bacon through it. Perfection and joy were achieved. Today, I ran a loaf of sourdough through it, and I found that I can make slices as thick, or thicker, than I prefer.
It is perfect!

Ian: Voltage requirements. USA use 120v here in South Africa - 220v. No option on web site to select voltage. Could not use the slicer until touring around to find a shop selling adapter to reduce our voltage to suit the slicer.
Otherwise - excellent unit - works very well - ad easy to clean - but only as I have another slicer at my other home and learned to easiest way to clean is with a 2-3inch paint-brush to brush away the crumbs before then wiping with detergent and cloth. Use of brush to clean not in instructions.

JohnnyJohnny: Is it really fair to compare a $100 meat slicer against a $300 one? When it comes to true value for moderate home use, that’s what it came down to for me. I’ve tested both and can only keep one. Here’s what I’ve learned:
INTRODUCTION TO TWO TOP SLICERS
Both of these are very popular on Amazon and highly regarded. The Ostba has a 7.5 inch serrated blade and the Beswood has a 10 inch smooth blade. I’m a serious BBQ guy and cook and want to be able to slice thin and vac seal roast beefs, jerky, tri-tips, hams, pork tenderloins, and pork belly. My hope was that the Ostba would be enough for my needs, time saving to clean vs. the Beswood, and much easier to handle at 9 lbs. vs. 33.
SIZE AND WEIGHT
As you can see in my photo, the Ostba is compact and easy to handle. Suction cups are supposed to keep its light weight firmly planted on the counter. The Beswood is truly a “Big Berta” but weighs less than many comparable 10 inch models.
TESTING THE OSTBA
I first bought the Ostba. Slicing is adequate. It does slice thin yet the slice thickness wheel is a bit of a guestimate. It gets the job done and I bought it because its 200 watt motor can power...

Jose BizcarrondoJose Bizcarrondo: The media could not be loaded. Build quality and which I believe durability will last for a while clean up is a little time-consuming with taking things apart but to do it right it's well worth it I do recommend purchasing Lube and the sanitizing spray for the unit I did that when switching in between every meat that's just me cuz I'm kind of crazy like that but the sharpness of the blade and the thickness of the cut depending on how hard you pushed on the machine always made a difference the backing plate is metal and build quality is great for somebody with moderate to light use for home use and kitchen duty I would recommend this for anybody buying both Meats I set my machine up at 5 mm or just a little bit less maybe four and a half and it shaved the roast beef just about paper thin with little effort the machine is a little loud but being that it's an electric motor running and cutting the meat it's to be expected but I believe that this does the job and we'll fit the bill I never used the smooth blade for cheeses but I would imagine if it cuts anything like the serrated blade for meat it'll be fine I used it for ham turkey chicken and roast beef I shaved I went...
