Organic Whole Grain Hulled Spelt from Great River Organic Milling

OneWolf: I have never had any issues with my Great River grains. It always come clean and bug free and a great value for the money. I have ordered multiple different grains from them and only had one issue where the wrong grain was sent but they were quick to make it right, Highly recommend and will continue to reorder. I am also able to use my EBT which makes it even better and I can eat healthier.

pogo: I've bought several 25 and 50 lb bags of Great River Organic Grains. My only complaint is that every 25lb bag is short at least1/2 lb and the 50 lb bags are short a full lb or more. Sometimes even 1 1/2 lbs. All the other grain companies I've bought from (Palouse, Cross Creel, Country Life, Janies) are usually a few ounces over the stated bag weight. No, it's not moisture drying out. They're loading their bags light.

I have to add that all my grain is presprouted BEFORE it goes into the mill ...
and we use the Kamut for wheat grass...
They are really quick sprouters !!
I have read reviews that their grain is fermenting...perhaps you are just not rinsing it enough...
I even make fresh sprouted grain bread...similar to Ezekiel...
I start them sprouting in the morning, and they are ready in 24 hrs
I have had NO trouble sprouting

Sheri: This is wonderful Spelt, that I can mill into flour at home. There a a few other granaries that offer Spelt that can be ground into flour at home. But they charge as much or more for the shipping and handling as they do the Spelt. This is not the case with Great River Organic Milling. The Spelt I received from Great River is wonderful, fresh, Grade AAA Spelt. I have been able to make wonderful bread, pie crusts and pasta with this Spelt. Thank you so very much Great River, for offering this product.
