Tom Tomato: Since I have a history of kidney stones, I've been advised to stay away from chocolate due to its high oxalate content. The problem is that I love chocolate and used to eat it constantly. Of course, not smart when you have kidney stones.

I finally gave up chocolate a few years ago. Carob is an alternative. Unfortunately, I have found most carob products (power and chips) to be inedible. Weird taste or sickly sweet. Terrasoul Carob Power is a welcome surprise. Great over ice cream which is my main use case for carob powder. Don't expect it to taste like chocolate, but I have found it to be a more than acceptable substitute.

Gigi Carter: I was looking for something with a chocolate flavor, but without the cocoa. This carob powder is tasty, and I'm using it in overnight oats.

JTP: I use this in my milk to make faux chocolate milk when I just don't feel like having any caffeine or theobromine. It's pretty sweet if you like a mild, nutty flavor.
