JustAGuy: I was having some orthopedic problems after a fall, including a painful subluxation of my 5 or 6th rib at the anterior costochondral junction, and an SI joint that seemed to be out of whack. The roller allowed me to extend my spine enough to open my rib cage and pop the rib back into place. This roller seems to be the perfect combination of softness for comfort and traction, and firmness so it can act as a fulcrum to mobilize joints. I plan on using it from now on in my fitness routine and to protect and strengthen my back.
