Kindle Customer: The second in this series is even better than the first, and that is saying something. So much detail about the Kush/theaters of operations, weapons and Plan E tactics, toss in a multi-layered storyline and a few good curve balls, I read this into the wee hours just to make sure certain characters were going to make it. Well worth an extra cuppa in the morning. Go, Breed! Another outstanding read, Mr. Curtis!

David Makya: War ich noch bei "Danger Close" etwas skeptisch, bin ich jetzt eines Besseren belehrt worden. Wow! Hell of a ride! Action pur, crystal clear, schnell, komprimiert und in einem atemberaubenden detailed setting, mit einem faszinierenden Breed, der genau weiß, was er tut.
Auch wenn Curtis wirklich einen vielleicht am Anfang gewöhnungsbedürftigen clipped, cut to the bone Schreibstil dem Leser vor die Augen wirft, er ist genial und passt zu Breed wie die Faust auf das Auge.
Absolute authentisch geschrieben, voller Tempo und Twists und Volten, die trotzdem die Geschwindigkeit der Geschichte nicht verlangsamten, sondern in den Twists und Volten eher beschleunigten.
Die Ich-Perspective erlaubt einen ungestörten Zugriff auf Breed, seiner Vergangenheit, der Zukunft und wie hier, auf seine aktuelle Mission. Es hat so viel Spaß gemacht das Buch zu lesen. A real pageturner!
Natürlich werde ich die nächsten Breed's lesen. Auf jeden jeden jeden Fall. Ich freue mich darauf.

Kotuku: Tough and gritty, but oh such a great read. While a series (Breed Thrillers), they are stand alone. But do try and read them in order and a good reason to have Kindle Unlimited

Edward Garment: The adventure is good, but the explanations of politics, religion, opium, money and getting involved in a stupid war is even better. It took an American president willing to get roasted that finally got us out. I expect this will not be our last stupid war, because so many people and companies get rich from war , and generals always predict victory.

Novsix: For a new author (to me) it reads well . good balance of action, suspense and international intrigue. Gets a bit wordy at times but seems well researched and he knows his weapons! I will try the next one to see if he can improve on a good thing.

Kindle Customer: Breed earns his strikes once more.
An enduring adventure through the beautifully described mountains of an unconquerable land. Many have tries and all have failed. As much as it glorifies the life of warlords and drug smugglers it is a captivating story.
Great read.

The detailing of the characters, their background, the science behind warfare, arms and ammunition is amazingly graphic and life-like.
A page-turner to the very end.
