Chris Carver: Breed and the remaining members of his spec ops team, all now out of the military on honorable discharges, are tasked by Breed to take on finding who killed Keller and his family so brutally. Breed encounters Stein, a CIA spook, is also investigating the connection to Mexican cartels and team up. Their target, Bledsoe and Hamza, both of which are involved in the cartels, human trafficking and terrorism. If you're interested in such reading, you'll find plenty of action, mayhem and destruction. Great read.

Kindle Customer: Well, this first in the series has proven to be every bit as good as the much-deserved praise given it. Meticulous detail is given to weapons, tactics, characters and settings within a tightly-constructed plot, but none of these ever approach dry or dull, the weapons and tactics described are situational in context and an integral part of a well-constructed storyline, the characters developed enough to really like (good guys/women) or loathe (bad guys/punks who deservedly get theirs). Ordering the rest in the series right now!

Adrian Magson: Damn. Another brilliant series to add to my tbr list!
The first 'Breed' series novel, this is everything I enjoy in my down- time reading. It doesn't just move fast, it sprints flat out. The action is tough, the detail is plentiful and the tension is in all the right places. Worse, I actually ended up liking the story's protagonist, Breed, the ex-Delta special forces man who cannot quite let go.
The descriptive requirements are all there, too, painting a vivid picture of people, equipment, places and action so you know just where you are at every turn.
I'm not going to say unputdownable, because (my) life isn't like that. But I kept looking forward to picking it up again, which I suppose is pretty much saying the same thing.
Must get another one...

Gordon: Good enough to get me to buy the next in the series. I have many books with military drama and can honestly say I was surprised by both the writing style and characters in this book. It would make a good movie!

Kindle Customer: This is my first Cameron Curtis novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The author's research showed up clearly throughout, and I was impressed by the storyline. So many twists and turns in the plot and a stellar cast of characters. I can't wait for the next book in the series. Highly recommended!
