This will only cool you down directly. Say for example you’re working on your desk & you put it directly on you while you’re working or while you’re asleep. If you’re looking for something to cool down a room, this is not for you.

Después de 3 meses, pasada la época de calor lo almacené y, este año cuando lo saqué y lo puse a trabajar not~ un olor horrendo y que no enfriaba. Saqué el filtro y estaba lleno de hongos!!! (se supone que duraba 6 meses).
Compré el filtro y a las 3 semanas dejó de enfriar, lo revisé y otra vez Hongos!!!
Lavé el aparato con vinagre y compré otro filtro... Pueden ver el video. El clima aquí es muy irregular y no se usa el aparato diario, así que no sé si eso haya influído. Pero mis pulmones ahora andan enfermos de tanto hongo.
Comprar filtros cada mes ya no hace el aparato tan barato y pienso que conviene más comprar un cooler o un blister.
Es más pequeño de lo que yo imaginé. Mi recámara mide apróximadamente 20 mts cuadrados; pero el área donde se encuentra la cama es de aproximadamente...

Mejor de lo que esperaba, lei alguno comentarios de baja calificación, y coincido en que el este dispositivo es un enfriador humidificador, no un aire acondicionado. Funciona a nivel personal, no enfría un cuarto o habitación. Definitivamente no funcionara en climas húmedos tropicales. Pero su funcionamiento en la oficina es EXCELENTE. Ademas es excelente si hay algo de polvo en el ambiente de la oficina ya que lo deja el aire humidificado y filtrado... SOLO USO PERSONAL y directo al cuerpo refresca y sensacion de enfriamiento mas que sensacional.

I bought this for my bedside during the summer as our AC doesn't get to our 2nd floor very well. It works great, for about 3 hours and then runs out of water (I should note that we live in a dry climate). Here's the super annoying part: the cooler light flashes if the water gets too low. This thing will wake you up! It is SO annoying! Why they felt it needed any light at all is beyond me but you can turn it to several different light colors, oy. This would be ideal for a nap or for a desk or to just place in front of you while watching tv. It really does keep you cool if you are near it. It won't cool a whole room but it is definitely a good personal cooler for 3 hours at a time. Have a pitcher of water nearby if you need it to sleep. I plan to send it with my daughter to college for her desk in her dorm room. I think it would also be great to place near a crib for a baby's nap in the summertime.

Complete and utter waste of money, water, and electricity are my initial and long term thoughts on these things. Being fiscally motivated, my wife and I purchased two of these for our daughters. We live in a 100 year old house without central air and have spent many hundreds of dollars trying to cool our girls' bedrooms in the summer. Having seen the wonderfully produced and wholly misleading commercials for these landfill space takers, we decided that we had found a solution. WRONG! These little, much smaller than I thought, swamp coolers, simply do not perform as advertised. Even if we treated our daughters like Harry Potter and made them live in a closet under the stairs, these mold farms wouldn't have helped cool them. I know because we do have a closet beneath the stairs and after my repeatedly telling these teenagers that they weren't using them correctly, I tested them. On a hot day in August, I dutifully filled the reservoirs, grabbed a book, and sat down in the most private place in my house. I was absolutely convinced that within a few minutes of run time, these unpolished turds would have me cool and comfortable. WRONG! 15 minutes and I'm getting...

YES - "ONTEL AA-MC4 Arctic Air" - THIS IS THE BEST ONE - This one has the largest cooling capacity, is very quiet, easiest to fill, clean, and has beautiful lights, which really didn't matter to me but it is a nice touch. You can easily fill this unit and see the water reservoir clearly marking when to stop. I have actually had to move it back from me as I was quite chilled with it at about 2 feet away. At 4 feet it much better. Really great product! Also tried to dry the filter as instructed and had no issues. Again, easy to use and works much better than expected!! Am going to buy a couple more for my bedroom, yoga room and son's gaming room. Thank you!

The ice container where you fill it up with water to freeze (and then you put it right inside the rear compartment of the unit) along with the small amount of water that you pour inside the very small water container located at the top so it emits a mist is not even cold at the slightest.
I suspect that the main issue with this cooler is due to the fact that instead of you putting ice cubes and cold water directly in a compartment inside the unit, you instead put the water to freeze inside a separate ice container and place it at the rear compartment as I have just mentioned above. This is a very inefficient and ineffective method in cooling the air coming out of the air cooler.
I am in the process of returning the item after just a few hours of using it.
Save your approximately $60 Canadian Dollars and buy something that is bigger and has a larger water and ice compartment that is built into the unit. It will cost more, but I am sure it will do its job.
