Matt: I had this for about 4-5 months and lost it recently. Had to buy another because of the many times it has helped me find things, see things and help others. It's an invaluable everyday carry for me and the battery life is exceptional. Highest brightness is enough to make people flinch and see in the daytime. Build quality is exceptional with the special clip to fit on your hat. If you're on the fence, buy it.

I hope to find my other one, then I'll have two! Already gifted one to a friend as well and my brother purchased a higher lumens version as well.

Karen Seamsterk: This model is very compact and is almost unnoticeable in a side pants pocket. Very easy to have along when those unexpected needs for a light pop up, such as finding a small item that rolled under furniture, reading road maps at night, etc. No, it isn’t aircraft-landing-light bright, but that’s not the intent behind it. Plenty of light for most average tasks, and simple/easy to use. No complicated menus to make getting the light you want quickly a hassle. Well made and durable. Unbeatable at this price point, IMHO, and I’ve given several as gifts.

flatline: It always starts on low and 5L is plenty bright for most things at arms length. And the battery life is amazing at the 5L setting (19 hours? I've read conflicting reports, but whatever it is, it seems like forever).

If you need light farther away or you need a lot of light, then switching to high will give a wall of light, but you only get about 20 minutes of battery life. It claims 190L and I have no reason to doubt it, but I would have much preferred 100L for an hour than 190L for 20 minutes. Too bad OLight doesn't let you choose the output of the high setting.

For a 1xAAA flashlight, it's about medium sized and kind of heavy, but still small enough to disappear in your pocket until you need it and light enough to hold it in your mouth while you use both your hands for something.

The quality of the output is quite good. It has no weird artifacts in the beam and color rendition is pretty good.

This is an excellent little light.

J. Oliver: If you carry a flashlight as part of your everyday carry kit, you should be checking this out against whatever you're carrying now. If you've never spent real money on lights, you'll be amazed at the brightness and clarity of the light this thing throws down, and once you start playing with it, you'll be further amazed that Olight can make a light this good at this price point.

Since it takes a AAA (a single, at that!), everyone can source power, and the head and tail pieces each have insulating rubber grommets to keep that battery compartment dry. Handling this, it feels like a premium item, like a light that should go for $70-$80 bucks or more. 3-position switch (high, low, strobe) is excellent, good feel, positive engagement. The beam is very bright for its size--on high, it'll temporarily disorient/blind someone at conversational distances. Go ahead shine it in your face once to try it out--you likely won't do it again, and you'll have a new respect for the beam you're throwing around. Use judiciously.

Frankly, my suspicious side thinks Olight designed this as a Gateway Light--something with such a high value to cost proposition that you'll start pawing thru...

Andrew CAndrew C: I've been carrying a different, pretty well known brand SIngle AAA flashlight every day for the better part of the last decade. I love the small form factor of a single AAA flashlight. It fits easy in a pocket, or in a leather man holster I have.

On a whim, I decided to look around and see what else is out there for the single AAA flashlight space. And I found that this little guy is a very popular choice. So I bought it and WOW, I love this thing. The tail switch has such a perfect feel to it. They should make a fidget toy out of it. There is no question when that thing clicks.

The two light settings are also perfect. Low light is just enough to see in the dark without lighting up a whole room... then the second setting could light up a whole room. Impressive how much light comes out of this tiny flashlight.

I have not done a very extensive test of how long this lasts, but I usually just carry around one of these little lights for brief moments in the dark. I'm not leaving it on for 30 minutes... if that were the case I'd grab something else.

I got the blue and I love the pattern and the shade. Very happy.

Stewart Salene: I like the feel and function of this torch. It is solid, made from aluminum and has a nice, solid feel. The on/off switch has a very positive feel when operating it. The 2 different light levels are good for different tasks in very dark places.
I also like the 2 way clip. This is a nice feature when I need something on my cap or when I need it for other applications.

Dino Snider: Love it. For my minimalist EDC - Every Day Carry. Inobtrusive, out of sight and out of mind, until needed. Real performer, too. The fixed zoom is face sized at one metre. As bright as those cheap 3xAAA flashlights. And with low power setting so won't run out of battery power when needed. Even small enough to clip on baseball cap lip!
