IzzyD: This was bought to use in a dark caravan park. Was very impressed on first use….the light was bright and covered a wide area making walking the dog much easier and safer. Easy to slip into pocket. Can’t rate for longevity as I have only used it a couple of times.

bogeyeater: 1 month after purchase all is well, a simple uncomplicated torch unlike some other options that have multiple flashing settings.
The brightness of the lamp is pretty strong & effective good enough for use in the garden & late night dog walks etc easily illuminates 90 to 100 ft ahead.
The only potential problems I can see are the casing that holds the batteries will probably not last a very long time, but all in all so far it seems ok.

Bari Kantor: This flashlight is great. It's compact and the light is adjustable, from pinpoint to wide-arc. The flashlight is perfect for walking at night, as I do sometimes. It's quite helpful around the house, perfect for when you need to search under the sofa or bed, or in a cabinet. This is a must have for the house and for outdoors! Compact and powerful.

SWC75: I just got it so I can't comment on product life but the brightness of the light is very strong. It's a narrower but brighter field than the last flashlights a bought a few years ago. It might be problematic showing drivers at night where I am because I might have to direct the beam at them. Maybe I could direct it to the pavement under me.

Eclectic Mike: We often need a good little bright light to investigate tight spaces in our equipment during repairs. This light is plenty bright, and a handy size to use. Takes 3 AAA batteries that are included. Comes with a little strap which we use to hang the flashlight in a convenient spot where anyone can get to it quickly. Seems plenty sturdy. We have not used it for night vision purposes and we have only had this item for a short time, so that is why those categories were not rated in this review.

Moreau: la lampe eclaire très bien au debut ,mais l'ampoule n'est pas halogène donc elle use la pile et il faut remplacer la pile , je ne recommande pas c'est un modèle comme il en existe beaucoup .

Nick: Small size, but with a very bright light and it seems reasonably sturdy, especially considering the cost. It doesn't have a bunch of different light modes, like strobe, dim and what have you. But honestly, how often will you *not* use a steady bright light? There's just a simple on/off switch, so there's no need to have to cycle through a bunch of different modes to turn the flashlight on and off. Very pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a small flashlight.

Erik Gordon Bainbridge: UPDATE TWO WEEKS AFTER ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I'm disappointed with the quality of the included batteries. After barely a week of not much use, the beam was noticeably dimmer and after two weeks, much dimmer. However if the manufacturer had to cut corners, the batteries are the best place to cut. I can always install better batteries (and have).

I intended to buy two more of this flashlight to put in my vehicles' glove compartments, but Costco had a sale on the "Duracell Durabeam Ultra 300 Lumens Tactical High-Intensity Compact LED Flashlight, 3-Pack" that made them irresistibly cheap, so I bought the three Duracells instead of two more of this flashlight. Here's how the LE and Duracell compare:

note: for testing, I installed brand new Kirkland (Costco) AAA batteries in both flashlights.

Batteries: The LE uses three AAA, the Duracell uses 4 AAA. My LE came with cheap batteries that lost power quickly after only light use, but the Duracell comes with Duracell batteries.

Size: The Duracell is about an inch longer and about 3/16" wider (but looks wider than that). The lens of the LE is recessed and hard to measure, but is about 1/2"; the Duracell lens is a...
