GearLight S2000 High-Powered LED Flashlight - Super Bright High Lumen Light, Zoomable and Water Resistant

LizAar: I don’t have use for the other modes, the smaller version of this flashlight has that and I can attest to that. This flashlight only has on and off and zoom, however. It is slightly bigger but much much brighter! I got it because I need a bright flash light for walking my dogs in the early morning and at night. I wish I had this for Halloween because I had an other “bright” tactical flashlight that was USB recharchable and it was weak and wouldn’t stay on after a full days charge. That old flashlight dwindled and broke within a year. These ones, however, use batteries and have been reliable in my experience! Buy it! But know that this larger version does not have the modes, even the box it came in says it has 5 modes, it doesn’t. But for me that is not an issuex

Amazon Customer: This was such a great purchase I came back for a second one. We live in a very dark, rural area and this light is the perfect companion for getting from the outbuildings to the house, or for letting the dogs outside when it is dark. The battery life is good, and I love the ability to adjust the beam width. We have other, significantly more expensive flashlights, but this one is every bit as good as they are, for a fraction of the cost.

Helmswoman: I just bought my second one of these, I thought the first one was one of the best flashlights I had ever had--it worked without failure and wasn't hard on batteries. Unfortunately, it fell victim to the plague of leaking alkaline batteries that fused the removable battery holder to the case. Not the fault of the flashlight. For the new one I purchases leakproof (lithium) batteries, more expensive but cheaper than having to replace items ruined by increasingly common leaking batteries. This flashlight is a good size, fits the glove compartment, is VERY bright, and the zoom feature is useful. Very satisfied with this purchase. I also have the mini version for the nightstand and for travel.

G. Mellis: I have only had the product for a short time, so I can't make any comments on the battery life or water resistance, so I just rated them in the middle. The brightness is good. I didn't read the instructions and when I turned it on it was very bright and wide. I was initially disappointed as I wanted to shine as more of a beam. I played with it as I walked and determined the functions were changed by SLIDING the end of the flashlight and not turning it. Sliding gradually changed to beam from a wide circle to a long beam. The long beam was a good distance and very bright. I also discovered that the slide function was easy enough to do with one hand (the one holding the flashlight. Very happy so far.

LWD: I addition to the GEARLIGHT S2000, I own several multifunction flashlights with switches on the back and on the side. They are fun to own, and for night watchmen, policemen, and survivalists, they provide welcomed and needed functions. But for those of us who just want to walk our dog at night, or light up a room or a hallway during nighttime power outages, nothing beats a dependable, bright, white light flashlight with a simple on/off switch. When I sit down to dinner, I never use my multifunction Swiss-style army knife to cut my steak, and when I walk my dog at night, I don’t want to fuss with multiple switches or run through strobe and S.O.S. settings, or fiddle with brightness levels until I get the flashlight adjusted to my desired setting. — To be clear, the GEARLIGHT S2000 has three intensity levels, all controlled by a single rear switch. But once the desired brightness level is set, by depressing the switch half way, the brightness level retains that setting when the switch is fully depressed to the On/Off position.

The S2000 is very bright even at the widest setting of its adjustable beam diameter. At the widest setting it lights up most of my backyard and...

Brad Sinclair: I read a lot of positive reviews for this flashlight before buying but I've got to say I have no idea what anybody is talking about. This flashlight is not near as bright as it claims to be. There is another review where somebody posts a picture of what the flashlight looks like at night. What it doesn't show is the big dark spot in the middle of the beam. It also claims to have 5 different brightness modes which is a far stretch of the truth. There is not much of any difference between any of the modes. The plastic battery compartment inside feels like it will break very easily. The way it is designed also makes it very difficult to replace the batteries. This flashlight is without a doubt my worst purchase ever from Amazon. Save your money. The amount they charge on here for this flashlight, anything else would be a better option. My $30 wuben c3 out performs this flashlight in every way. Also be careful because this flashlight is not included in Amazon's return policy

Paul: It is a normal flashlight. Unfortunately I was looking for a flashlight with a powerful beam and this is not that. I did pickup a ThruNite BSS V4 at the same time and it is exactly what I was looking for as it is an excellent powerful light for the outdoors as you can see for over a 100 + feet at night.
