Carl F. ShannonCarl F. Shannon: Easy swap, couple of screws. Fits flush. Color is ever so slightly different. For about a tenth of what this vacuum cost new 5yrs ago, I’m keeping it going. Been using the new batter for over 5mo and still works. Sometimes the power cuts out on long pulls, but letting go the trigger and starting again hasn’t been unmanageable. Pleased with the results so far.

Scott: Dyson vacuums are expensive but built to last and work great. The downside is getting replacement parts because they're also expensive. When the battery on mine died I went to the Dyson website to purchase another one but the $99 price tag was much higher than I expected. I searched Amazon and found this one at a fraction of the price so I ordered it. It easily installed in just a couple of minutes and works just as well as the one it replaced. No need to spend more on something that's only difference is having the brand name on it.

Jake Lloyd: It stopped working after a month and a half. They know that this battery will not last long. You should be ashamed of yourself for selling such a product I wish I could get my money back for this piece of junk.

stickman: I'm not sure what the stock battery rating is but this battery sure sounded like it would be better with a higher capacity and more power. But in reality, I don't think it even gets me the same time as the original battery.

With the original, I could vacuum the upstairs quite extensively on 1 charge. It wouldn't get me more than that but on 1 charge, I could get the upstairs done. This battery dies before I finish the upstairs. So that's disappointing. I'm not buying another and in fact, I might ditch Dyson altogether in favor of another vacuum in the B&D 20v line. That suits me just fine since I already have 6 pieces from that line and that many batteries too.

Uodate: the battery just seemed to die after less than a year. I barely get 5 minutes from it before it craps out on me. Very disappointing.
