Mel Scott: Our dog is aging, and has a hard time on hardwood floors/laments. He couldn't get up the stairs very well, without slipping, these fixed that issue nicely for him. Easy to install, nice adhesive, but hard to vacuum as the dog hair is tougher to get out. Great value though.

Joel Mitchell: Not the adhesive that will keep it on my steps. I used double sided tape to put them down on the steps.

I do like them though. I have unfinished pine, and the TreadSafe Carpet Stair Treads Non-Slip | 8"x30" Set of 15, worked very well to greatly reduce the potential of an accident, and it gives a cushion to the steps.

Claudia: We purchased these over a year ago for the stairs in our log home as we didn't want anything with adhesive on our log stairs. These have stayed in place through everything that have been thrown at them. We have 4 dogs that run up and down the stairs, we use a vacuum cleaner on them and still these have stayed in place. We couldn't be happier!

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I purchased these treads to provide a non-slippery surface on my wooden stairs. My senior dog was finding it almost impossible to get up and down the wooden stairs into the house. These are a godsend. From the moment I installed them, his sure-footedness has been restored, and he hasn't slipped once. I am surprised to find I like the added safety for myself as well.

The treads had a slight bend to them due to the way they were packed in the box. However, the bend disappeared immediately when I applied them. These were very easy to install. I cleaned my (old) stairs with Simple Green first, wiped them dry, then let them air dry for an hour. Then I just pressed these in place. It's been a few weeks and they are holding beautifully. Not one tread has started to come up even a little. I read reviews where people said they needed to use carpet tape and other methods of adhesion, but that wasn't the case for my stairs at all. Perhaps they adhere well to wood.

They look nice, were easy to install and have completely solved the slipping problem that we had. I love these treads!

Josephine Twin: My elderly mother loved with my husband and i and has been having trouble with the feeling in her feet (the older you get, the less circulation you have in your toes) and has been having issues with our wooden staircase. I had been noticing that she hasnt been spending as much time in the basement as she normally does (this is where all the puzzles and fun activities are in the house). Once i realized it was because of her concern of slipping on the stairs, i was pretty disheartened to know that she was missing out on some pf her favorite activities. These stair treads really gave her the confidence to go up and down the stairs again and i really appreciate that there is a product like this out there.
