Margaret: These stair tread mats have self adhesive tape that easily applies to stairs and works great!! The hold is firm and they don't move even if our two dogs running up and down the stairs. Very impressive and I'm happy I bought them. Will by again of I ever want to change out the color for something different. Great price too

cupcakes!: Got these stair treads as our dog was having trouble on our wooden stairs. The stair treads worked great! And look great! Our dog has no trouble now going up and down the stairs. Easy to install and if needed to adjust ( which we did a few times) they still stick great and no damage to the wood.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: These stair treads are exactly what was required for my attic stairs. I have just laid them. They were too wide for the attic stairs, but were very easy to cut with a pair of decent scissors. I used the corners of one tread as a template to the new edges. As you can see from the photos, I have a dog-leg and the stairs become triangular. It was no problem to shape the treads. The last photo shows a tread on a normal staircase and its a nice fit.
As for whether they stick well......I did have to reposition one or two, and they seemed just as sticky on the 3rd attempt at positioning. I have pushed them firmly against the stairs and they seem to have a good grip. Time will tell.
They look really nice.

Melanie HampsonMelanie Hampson: I had to trim them down as I live in an old house with a narrow staircase but I did this carefully and they still look great. We’ve been using them for a month now since I renovated the staircase to alleviate lockdown boredom. They are more of a felt than a carpet pile. They have fluffed up slightly but considering they have two adults and three dogs using them everyday plus of course hoovering so they have taken that punishment a lot better than I was actually expecting. They still look fresh now!
Plenty of people have asked me where I got them, from seeing the photos of course, I’ve not been illegally hosting dinner parties or raves during lockdown so no need to call the Law!
Lastly I wasn’t sure about the backing as it’s grippy rather than adhesive and I thought they might shift or the corners lift, neither has happened and they are totally firm. Very happy all around!

hey_steve: These treads went on like a dream and have not moved since being put in place! Ours see a lot of pet traffic, 2 dogs & 2 cats, plus what ever dirt my husband and I leave behind and they clean up quite easily with the vacuum and occasionally a little carpet shampoo.
I'm quite pleased with my purchase, these are far ahead of any treads I have used in the past.

TeenieTeenie: I was very impressed with these stair treads on my wooden stairs. I cleaned the area and left to dry thoroughly then placed each one on the stairs which was very easy to do. However, the only thing I would say is that they don't really stick well on the corners but I'm sure they'll bed in well with constant use when walking up and down!

Amazon Customer: Fabulous. Made it so much easier for my elderly dog to get up and down the stairs now. He used to have to have a long think, but now he’s bombing it up and down! Very easy to install - they stick well and don’t move, yet are forgiving if you want to adjust. I’d say very high quality for the price.

Blaise E. Defazio: I was looking for an alternative to carpeting the stairs going to my newly finished basement. These were perfect. Easy to install and they stay in place. I made sure to clean the stairs good before applying the treads. I have a dog and she was tentative going on the stairs when it was just wood - now she comes and goes with the treads installed. Haven't cleaned the treads yet, but they look good and they are very functional.

RorysonRoryson: These things are great! They arrived folded in half so they were all bowed when I opened them up. So I just stacked them on top of each other and put a case of water on top for about 30 minutes to weigh it down to get the wrinkle out. Super easy to put on, my four year old helped me. The adhesive on the back doesn't really stick to my wood stairs, just keeps them from sliding around. Which is fine since I rent my house and I don't want to leave behind any stickiness. Keep in mind, these aren't the best quality. They definitely feel somewhat flimsy when holding them. But once they're on, they stay in place. They're super soft and look way more expensive than what I paid for them. Also I wanted to mention that if you look at them from below or straight on, you can see a tiny bit of white from the adhesive backing (see picture for reference). Doesn't matter to me, but it might to you. Overall, I'm super pleased with my purchase, and you cant beat the price.
