Introducing the NICREW Submersible LED Aquarium Light, the perfect solution for your fish tank. This 11-inch light stick features both white and blue LED lights, offering a wide range of colors and a unique design. Installation is easy and the build quality is top-notch, making it the best aquarium light on the market. With a 4 W power consumption, this light is sure to brighten up your tank.Carolyn: This has come in handy for one of my tanks that had lighting in the lid, that stopped working. It is very bright, I am using it in a 10g tank and I wish it had dimming settings because it is just a tiny bit too bright. Would be great in a 20g tank though. Super easy install. Good value for the price.

Nic MaciNic Maci: I really like this light. It has really made my neon tetras pop. I’m actually going to get the bigger size and completely modify the lights that came with the tank. Yet to see how good they are with plants. The only thing I don’t like is the suction cups suck. I put better ones on it.

Tommy Gunn: Would change one thing... Location of the power switch is in a bad spot. This being an aquarium light one would think that the switch should be within a few inches of the light itself so that it would be near the aquarium. But no. Instead, the switch is closer to the plug end of the cord so it is down at floor level. It is unfortunate because otherwise, the light is bright, has a good color temperature for an aquarium, and the suction cups work well to hold it to the underside of the aquarium lid. My suggestion is, when shopping for an aquarium light like this, pay attention to where the switch is so that it ends up where you would like it. Since this light is fairly inexpensive, I will likely try to cut the cord and splice the switch in closer to the aquarium. It is a USB powered light so that may make it a little tricky as the wires inside are likely very small.

Sylvie Beaudoin: Got the lights, installed them inside the existing hood in replacement of old led lights. Secured the suction cups in place with electrical tape and all is fine... except I got the timer (from Nicrew as well) as suggested by Amazon and they are not compatible. I even purchased a USB adapter connect the light with the timer, but it will not work, used different AC adapters (with appropriate power selected), to no avail. :-( Not happy.

SR: Recently purchased this since the starter kit LED light was absolute garbage for plants. This 4W light with addition to my 1.5W LED lights; I'm getting about 5.5W of light in my 10 gallon tank. When I initially turned it on, I was quite surprised because I didn't really notice much of a difference even thought this was almost 3 times the output.
Light fell once from the lid but after sticking it back on, the suction has held place really nicely. Overall, a good light for the value, just wish it was a bit brighter. I should've bought the 13.8 inch 8W light, but it is what it is. Will definitely be upgrading in the future with the same brand.

Rotaryfeen: The only thing I wish this had was the light adjustment for brightness. Other then that does the job well. I hot glued the rubber ends to the underside of my aquarium hood. I don't have to worry about suction cup failure. Also the light doesn't sit lower into the tank so I can fill the tank to the top canopy line of view. I just wish it had controls to adjust light intensity.

BrjuBrju: My 30 gallon aquarium is older and had fluorescent light, which was blown. I didn’t want to replace it with another fluorescent bulb so I took out all the components in the lighting house and just put this submersible light bar in it. It fits perfectly and makes my aquarium look amazing. I have 2 glo fish in with all my tetras so the blue mixed with the white light really makes their colors pop while keeping the light neutral since it’s in the dinning room. It is also safe because we have a bengal who thinks she’s a bird and flies on shelving and table tops so I don’t feel like it will be near as much of a fire risk if she does jump on top and crashes the lighting into the water.
Not to mention this light bar is half the price compared to ones identical in stores, which are literally $30 or more. I recommend this product!

MissRedMissRed: Very fast ship. Construction is solid and tube appears to be glass. I can’t speak to longevity of the light. I’ve had it installed 2 weeks. It it’s looking great. I use it to supplement a 6500 k fluorescent tube light. It is a very clean light. Has a switch so I can put it on a timer. And the suction cups are excellent. It’s stuck to the plastic aquarium canopy. The second photo is with the fluorescent light OFF...just the nicrew on is surprisingly good for a 15 gallon tall. Price can’t be beat! Would recommend!

AudreyAudrey: I have a 5.5 gallon planted topfin tank. I wanted to grow more advanced plants than anubias, and my local fish store owner said the first thing I should do is pick up brighter lighting on Amazon. I decided to get this one because it looked like the tube would fit into the extra slot on the hood, and it did! This thing is super bright, it makes the stock lighting look positively dim. I'm not sure if it's enough for plants on its own, but I'm sure with both lights on it will be plenty. I took the pictures in daylight, and the LED still stands out. I'll try to update the review as I put more plants in.
Update: This light + the light that came with the tank has been able to grow medium light plants in a small tank. You might need something more advanced if you want to grow a lot of red plants, but if you stick to plants available at a place like petco you should be fine.

Jonathan fontenot: the biggest problem is trying to set this on a dimmer timer because its usb its not compatible with basically any dimmer timer I can find. great light but this is frustrating.
