Amazon Customer: Love these lights as I bought 2 others for my aquariums with no problem at all. But the third one was defective. I'm sure at no fault to the seller it was just a bad one. The day light would just keep going out and I had to keep switching it on and offyo make it stay on. So I sent it back yesterday and hopefully getting refund and will purchase again.

Roger Elliott: For the cost, this is a well made light with lots of brightness and correct colour spectrums. Although it looks almost square in the ad picture this light is actually a long thin rectangle measuring 20cm long by 5cm wide. The attachment arm is quite flexible but has a bit of an issue supporting the light completely, so the unit has a bit of an angle to it from front to back, but overall is a nice light fixture. And you should know that it does support plant growth quite well.

Count of Mavrovo: I've run my light for about a week now, as I got a second hand Fluval Spec III tank with a light in poor condition. This is the replacement light for that, and here is my review of the light itself, and if anyone wants to replace their Fluval Spec light with this one, my opinion on that set up will also be below.

As for the light, it's a long slim design, and very attractive to the eye. It does get warm to the touch after awhile, but frankly, as long as it's not in a cupboard or a very tight space like that, it won't matter. But since it can get warm, caution is nonetheless advised.

As for lighting, the white light is very bright indeed, and will light most nanotanks in a very good manner. Excellent light for growing the majority of aquatic plants. The blue light too is very good and gives the tank an attractive look to it.

As mentioned in the title, this light does not come with a remote, but when you're paying for something in this price point, it's very easy to forgive that.

My overall review of this product? 4.5 out of 5 - it is excellent value for money, just don't keep it in a tight space or next to anything sensitive to heat.
