cody morgan: Everything works well. My only gripe is the control box is very cheaply made. Numbers disappear with any amount of pressure applied. It’s also a bit confusing but maybe I’m just dumb. Overall very worth the money

Seanair Bruce: The light looks great and works well. I’ve only had it for a few weeks so i can’t comment on longevity. Programming the timer is not a simple task and involves some trial and error. The manual is very minimal and should contain additional information/examples on setting up and modifying settings. Overall i’m happy with it and will definitely consider buying the product again when i set up a new tank.

Bab’s mom: I bought this light after spending a fortune on replacing bulbs and having the canopy light short them out. This light is a breeze to install, fits multiple sized tanks and emus a beautiful clear white light for daytime. A blue light and red nighttime light, I haven’t used yet, and the timer, because I just received it and haven’t had time to experiment. But this product is worth the very reasonable price based on the daytime light alone.

Dennis Lopeman: I have 7 fish tanks now and 4 of them have these lights. The programming ability is VERY cool. I have them all sync'ed (since you input the current time) and so they all act at the same time! On one, I even had to adjust the brightness down about 25% as algae was building up. Algae was nearly gone in a week and still has enough light for the plants. Great lights with the easy to use programmable remote. I don't have a lot of experience with other brands but did get one of those Hygger ones with the 3 buttons, when my buddy gave me his whole setup. I've yet to research or read how to set it (LOL) and just guess about the time I want it to transition. Anyway, all my plants seem to be doing very well with this lighting.
An enhancement request... the wire frame extendy things that reach to either side of your tank are low to the water surface. I would like a set of wire frames that would put them about 6 to 8 inches OVER the tank. Not sure how they can engineer that cost effectively. What I did was pull them out, take it to my bench vise, and just bent them where I wanted... but that changes how they fit to the edge because of the bends.
One drawback, if I'm to nit-pick....

Mike H.: The good:
- Extremely bright
- Clear, white light
- Programming is easy, and the programmed modes are great
- Full(ish) spectrum with a few red and blue LEDs
- Fantastic value for the money compared to equivalent name-brand lights
- Very easy to program using the included controller. Love that it has sunrise, daylight and moonlight modes.
The bad:
- With the default (not programmed) on/off setting, for the life of my I could NOT figure out how to adjust brightness up and down. I can only control the brightness when running on the daily programmed settings. Not a deal breaker, but strange.
- This is not an RGB+W light; there are no green LEDs. It is also hard to get pink hues out of this light if that is something you're after.
The ugly:
- When I first received the light I could not insert one of the prongs of the expandable hanger. I actually had to use a 1/8" drill bit to clear the hole further into the recesses of the light. There was something blocking the hole, possibly the edge of the circuit board. Despite my trepidation pulling out a drill, it solved the problem without any adverse effects. YMMV.
