Christina Li: Works really well, grows all my submerged plants, I have a tall 20 gallon, which I put widthwise on one end of the tank. I like the timer, and the adjustable red/blue shift is pretty cool. The night light looks pretty cool. I don't use the functions very much any more, just leave it on timer so the plants get what they need.

T. Taylor: I was skeptical at trying this because I didn't think for the price it would be any good. I'm happy to report I was wrong. I use this on the opposite side of my Bearded Dragon enclosure that has the UVB and heat lamps. It really brightens things up without adding any heat. I'm very happy with the product.

TWistd5ister: Stopped working but then when unplugged for a while it started working again! Also was told by Nicrew support you can hold B and W at the same time for 3 seconds to reset the light controller. They were fast to reply to my quarry.

Christina: I bought this for my tree frog tank for all the live plants I have in it. It works great!
I love the moonlighting effect because it doesn’t bother my tree frogs nocturnal behavior.
If you have any kind of plants in your animals terrarium I highly suggest this light!
I’m actually buying another one for my paludarium that will house my amazon milk frogs, it will have tons of live plants as well as fish and aquatic plants.

googilybearr: It's okay on a 10g gallon. Perfect for tanks less than 10 gallons. (Ideally 5 gallons) I'd up the size if you want full coverage as this size (12-18 inches) refers to the hinges instead of the light. The hinges are sturdy if places right. It can feel wobbly if placed in a risky position. Luckily, it's waterproof so if it does slide in, it won't harm your livestock.

If you're considering buying this product, buy the bigger size of your ideal tank. The size is referring to the extension of the hinges and not the light!

As for lighting, the focal point it generates light from is at the center and it doesn't generate equal lighting to its sides. There is a timer which is user friendly. It's got time duration, day and night mode, and the option to utilize which spectrums. Is it powerful? It's decent enough to get my Christmas moss and red root floaters growing. Ideally, aim for larger to cover all dimensions of the tank to ensure all plants get light.

It's pretty sleek and black. Nothing too fancy and nothing too ugly. It does it's purpose and if I were to purchase this item... I'd do my measurements correctly and adjust accordingly. But bigger is always better!

Nutka: This is a great light with good settings. You can program it to stay on 8,10 or 12 hours. I do wish the blue light would come on automatically when it turns off for the night, or that it had a 6hr setting but for the price it can’t be beat.
