Dunkeltier: Ich habe mir vor kurzen einen Neato D4 gekauft, welcher von Haus aus nur einen 14.4V Li-Ionen Akku mit 2100mAh Kapazität und 31Wh verbaut hat. Damit schaffte er es nicht mal meine Wohnung im Eco-Modus ohne Nachladen zu saugen. Mit den neuen Hi-Capacity Akku mit 4200mAh Kapazität und 62Wh gelingt dies problemlos. Man braucht zum Austausch des Akkus nur die zwei Schrauben des Akkudeckels zu lösen, den Stecker vom Akku abzuziehen und kann dann den Akku tauschen. Direkt nach dem Tausch wollte mein Staubsauger-Roboter nicht mehr anspringen und hat ständig ein Problem gemeldet. Dies lag aber schlicht daran, dass ich den Stecker nicht richtig reingesteckt hatte. Das "Problem" war schnell behoben.

Der Akku lässt sich problemlos in den Staubsaugerroboter einsetzen und ist schnell einsatzbereit. Die Ladezeit ist angemessen und der Akku hält auch bei intensiver Nutzung erstaunlich lange. Ich kann nun mehrere Räume problemlos reinigen, ohne den Akku zwischendurch aufladen zu müssen.
Die Qualität des Akkus ist hervorragend. Er ist robust und langlebig, was für mich als langfristige Investition wichtig ist. Zudem ist er leicht und handlich, was den Transport und den Austausch erleichtert.
Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die Kompatibilität des Akkus. Er passt perfekt zu meinem Neato Staubsaugerroboter und funktioniert einwandfrei. Ich hatte keinerlei Probleme bei der Installation oder Nutzung.

Ian Terry: After many years of use our Neato started giving funny error messages that I couldn't fix. A bit of Googling suggested that the battery had failed. I had to take this on trust because this isn't a cheap part, but it was right and I'm up and running again. Well, cleaning again. A big advantage is that this original Neato Robotics part has three rows of batteries - the original had two, so it now lasts long enough to clean the whole ground floor without scuttling back to its charging station before it's finished.

P. A. Brady: …and Neato won’t admit it, but they’ve “updated” their firmware so that the robot won’t work consistently after the slightest degradation of battery. So now I have to buy a new battery at least once a year. My original Neato robot (since retired) went over three years with the same battery; it just eventually took a second recharge to complete the house. And that was twice a week, every week.
Now, after a few months of use, we get error messages, or it skips rooms; runs fine, but “loses its mind.” But drop in a new battery and VOILA, it suddenly “remembers” those rooms it was missing, and Neato makes some $$ on parts. What a deal. 🤨

Beau: This is the "high capacity" lithium battery for the Neato Botvac D5 Connected, and the Botvac Connected - Neato's two high-end models. I bought this battery as an upgrade for my Neato Botvac D3 Connected, which came with a weaker "standard" lithium battery. PLEASE check to make sure your Neato takes lithium batteries before buying this - at the time of this review, the three models listed above are the only ones this battery is compatible with. Anyway, the weaker "standard" lithium battery caused my Neato to go back and recharge twice during the cleaning cycle to finish my house, which is 1300 square feet. It took about 6 hours of cleaning and recharging, for the Botvac D3 Connected to clean my house, which is less than ideal if you're home as it's cleaning.
Installation is easy - remove two screws from the bottom of the Neato (just under the roller), and you'll be able to access the battery. Unplug that one, plug this one in, and screw the cover back on. Turn on the Neato and reconnect it to your Wi-Fi (hold the clean button and the right bumper to turn it off, turn it back on again, sync the Neato app to the Neato's Wi-Fi, and then select your home network), and that's...
