JohnJohn: The guitar for which I ordered this is a 2023 Fender American Professional ii and this scratch plate is a perfect fit. I don't use a backplate because I like the extra resonance without it, but I checked its alignment and it, too, lines up perfectly.

Both plates had a double layer of protective film, are of excellent quality and are a fraction of the price of the name brand plates.

I have zero complaints and am a happy picker.

Joo Y. ChungJoo Y. Chung: I got the pearloid 4-ply pickguard as a replacement for the black metal one on the Squier 40th anniversary vintage wide two-tone burst. I love everything about the guitar except how the black pickguard blends in with the black part of the wide burst, and also how the white pickups and controls just stand out so starkly.

The pearloid pickguard is a vintage white and is a perfect match for the pickups and controls. It looks absolutely gorgeous.

The replacement pickguard was a tiny bit smaller in certain areas like the horn but once it was on, you can’t tell it is aftermarket. The screws were about 80% lined up correctly, and one of the holes (next to the low string side of the middle pickup) was in a totally different place on the original vs replacement, but that was an easy fix with a screw and bit of elbow grease. All of the important holes - pickups, knobs, and selector — were perfect.

Some of the shielding on the underside was covering some of the screw holes but it was easy to punch through them, so no big deal. I’m sure it cuts down on costs.

All in all, the pickguard looks great and I am 100% satisfied with the installation and the results....

Gianni: Alcuni degli 11 fori non perfettamente combaciantii ma credo dipenda dalla Squier 😂, a proposito il tappo posteriore (vano molle) di questo kit è per le Mexico e simili quindi se dovete utilizzarla sulla Squier ci vuole altro con la disposizione apposita, purtroppo io non ho trovato il colore e ho dovuto ordinare questo e l'ho fissato solo 2 viti su 6, ma ovviamente non è un problema drl prodotto.

Artur BudzynskiArtur Budzynski: Good quality product but had to drill a couple of holes in order to fit it properly in my squier sttratocaser. Not a big deal for me since I had a drill but it might be for someone who doesn't. Overall good product and I recommend it if you want to change up your guitars looks.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I have two strats - a Squire I bought in 2005 and an American Performer I bought in 2021. I'm a fan of sunbursts, so I ended up with two guitars which looked similar on the surface. This led to me customising my Squire, and here's my first point - I would only recommend this pick guard for cheap guitars/Squires, but for anything more valuable than that I would seriously consider using an official Fender pick guard or something close to it.

The screw holes did not line up perfectly, but it was close enough to get the screws in so I didn't have to drill into the front of the body. For the tremolo cover, my Squire had a completely different layout so I ended up drilling small holes into the back of the body for this. There is a small gap on the right side of the bridge and the slit for the pickup selector switch is a bit rough on the edges, but I'm not too bothered by this.

This is a flat tortoise shell print - there is no 'depth' to the pattern. I'm not sure how this compares to other pick guards but if it was for a MIM or MIA strat I would definitely look into this.

Overall I'm happy with it on my Squire.

Kevin J. BurpeeKevin J. Burpee: Bought to put on a cheap Chinese made Squier Strat. Overall pretty good fit but a lot of the screw holes were missing the countersink so the screws didn't fit as they're supposed to. Also was missing the holes that the volume and tone knob pots fit/secure into. It was all a pretty easy fix with a drill and drill bits, but wasn't expecting to have to finish the factory work myself. The second picture shows the holes I had to drill or modify. Overall works well enough - cheap pick guard for a cheap guitar!

Kitchen Clock: Fantastic pick guard for the money. Looks fantastic and fits (hole alignment) great on a made in Japan Fender Stratocaster (MIJ Aerodyne). Note (1) I had to enlarge the pick guard retention screw holes (8 of them) slightly with a drill bit to make the screws sit flush. Only for the pick guard retention holes was this necessary. Other screw holes had already been counter sunk to make screws flush. Why didn't they counter sink all the holes? May be those holes take smaller screws on other Strats (MIM,MIUSA, other than MIJ)? I don't know. Note (2) When I first got it out of the package I noticed that there was a protective film over it. Nothing unusual for a pick guard...so I took off protective film and proceeded to install....then I noticed that there was a SECOND, thinner protective film still on there after the FIRST protective had been removed. So I took off the SECOND layer of protective film...then the pick guard went on great and looks awesome. Nice pick guard, good value.
