Amélie Gravelle: I tested the machine when I received it and it is region free even though it shows as region 2. I've tested region 1, 2 and 4 discs and they all played as expected. So far, I've watched one movie withit without any issues. It's also easy to use and set-up. Batteries dod come with it for the remote control, but you do have to get an HDMI cable, if you want to use one instead of the A/V cables.

All-in-all, a great player, it does what it's supposed to do and I'm very pleased with it! I do recommend it.

Kindle Customer: I purchased this Panasonic DVD Player which plays all of the various region DVD's. I purchased a DVD set which was Region 4 (Australia, New Zealand) from Amazon. (I live in the U.S.A.) I put the first disc in the player. It read it and played the entire movie. I then put a Region 1 DVD (North America) in the player. It played with no problems. I did not have to do anything other than press play.
The price was reasonable and I had a gift card also. I have had Panasonic products in the past and they are durable.

Duke of London: I had tried two other all region players and sent them back . This was so far worth what I paid. Works very smoothly with quiet operation and great picture reproduction. I tried every feature as soon as it arrived to make sure it was okay and it was. Do not know if it will last , only time and use can prove that out. I did put in my German movies first and they were great . Then of course USA DVDs and no problems , I ran a USB drive with pictures and it also worked as expected. I am glad I went a bit further in price , the player itself is not tiny like the others , not that it makes a real difference , you may actually want a mini sized player , good sized remote with all features . Panasonic is an age old company and that makes a difference to me. Having been over two years now , no problems . Still looks and functions like new.

CMC: I purchased this multi-region dvd player in order to watch a British Sitcom series which is not available in its entirety here in America. So, that being said, this dvd player works great for watching region 2 dvd's (those from Great Britain and Europe). However, this dvd player is advertised through amazon as being able to play dvd's of all regional formats. The dvd player I received specifically shows on the bottom of the box and in the enclosed instruction manual that it will only play dvd's from "region 2". So, while it will work fine for my needs, some others might get a little frustrated if they are hoping to watch dvd's from regions other than "2". I don't know if it is simply a fulfillment issue, whereby someone accidentally grabbed the wrong dvd player when packaging it for amazon, or if it is something else altogether. I have read additional reviews of this product in which others have had this exact same problem. However, some reviews say they received the correct "all region" version. I am keeping my unit. The build quality, ease of operation, size, and picture quality are all fine. I am just a little disappointed that multiple people seem to be...
