Len Thomson: The bone handle on this knife has severely cracked rendering it almost useless. I have carving knives that are decades old and have stood the test of time, there is apparently NO! craftsmanship any more... how very unfortunate, typical of todays "stamp them out get them out" mentality. Too bad. Bottom line. Unless you want to end up (like me) as the owner of an inferior product, my recommendation... DON'T BUY IT.

Lee HoweLee Howe: Haven't used it, won't use it with a cracked handle. The handle makes it more dangerous to my hands then the fish I need to fillit with it.

Kindle Customer Pregador Kindle Customer Pregador : Claim: Damascus Steel**, Ox Bone Handle with Ebony & G10 Ring , Ice Tempered & Heat Treated; 10Cr15CoMoV core, 67-Layers** Damascus Steel Blade.
I bought a very good looking knife -- the picture in the product had me believe it was Damascus steel with the wave pattern in the tapered section. But the item I received exposed the falsehood as the taper has unmatching left and right blade pattern. Whoever designed the graphic in laser etching got too creative, forgot the Damascus waves should not have circles once tapered. See photo. Very pretty knife but the claim is not true, and it follows that the 67 layers has to be bogus. Sorry for the fool's errand.
