Bruce Carpenter: I have this feeder set up along with several smaller feeders at my weekend cabin. I'm usually up every weekend but there's a four to five day stretch when the birds aren't going to get any refills. This feeder it's usually just about empty by the time I get back to fill it up. Squirrels managed to knock it out of the tree once and it got a little bit of a dent on the feeding tray. It's still fully functional and considering the weight of this feeder and the height it fell I'm pretty happy with it. I got mine on sale for around 20 bucks which really can't be beat.

booklover: First off-holds 7# of bird seed so be sure it’s attached to a sturdy branch or shepherd’s hook. It gets heavy. Refilling is easy bc the tops opens up nice and wide. With a bottom tray and multiple ports your feathered friends have plenty of places to nosh. Plastic sleeve and weighty metal all around-couldn’t be happier.

HHI: In a sometimes rainy environment, this feeder is easy to clean and should be periodically. Frequent rain can cause seeds, especially black oli sunflower to stick together and can potentially trap a feeding bird but this is easy to stay on top of. Do not use for thistle seeds.

RTT: This feeder holds about 12 pounds of wild bird mix. The feeder itself is lightweight but seems sturdy. It doesn't have any anti-squirrel features, but I haven't had any trouble thanks to a long piece of paracord and a well angled oak tree branch.
