J P: This feeder only holds a little over a pound of seed, but after a rain storm not much seed is lost to wetness. The cylinder, continuously feeds the tray and the roof protects the seed from gentle rain and, so far, squirrels. The circular perch allows small birds to feed on one side while bully birds feed on the other. The largest bird I've seen on the feeder is a Blue Jay. The construction is mostly plastic, so it should not rust. So far, I'm pleased with my purchase.

Adrian Davoli: At the risk of sounding like an old crank, “my” birds really seem to love this feeder. I have two of them, red and blue, and they are always emptied first. The feeder is a bit fragile and takes some care to disassemble and assemble when cleaning. For some reason the squirrels stay away from mine, which is a good thing. They also fit in to my bird habitat well. My only complaint is that I wish they were a little more durably built. This latest one is a replacement for one just like it that fell only 3 feet into my nice soft grass and broke at the plastic attachment points with the feeder’s base. Other than that, I think this is a great feeder.

Sellerocity - Dawn & GeorgeSellerocity - Dawn & George: Works as intended. 1st birdfeeder I've had so my only 'customers' have been squirrels, haha, who decimate the seed in a day or two.
Mine looks different from the pic bc a) I used chalk markers to give it character [tho the elements and critters all but obliterated the design], and b) I tightly wrapped the wire around my shepherd's hook to keep the squirrels from swinging it freely and to keep the top 'flush'.
That's my sole issue with it - the locking mechanism is made of plastic so doesn't adequately 'grab' the metal wire to keep the top as tight as I'd like, especially with heavy squirrels yanking on it for hours at a time. I fear that it will fail long before the metal body and wire.
Otherwise, it's a nice piece and performs as it should.

Katrin K.: Das Futterhäuschen sieht klasse aus, es ist leicht zu reinigen, man sieht, wiviel Futter noch drin ist und auch bei Sturm Sabine blieb das Futter, wo es sein sollte. Der Sitzring bietet mehreren Vögeln Platz, es gibt weniger Gezänk als vorher. Die Vögel haben es auch sofort angenommen. Eigentlich perfekt.

Aber: wenn es regnet, läuft das Wasser am Aufhängestab ins Futter und alles weicht durch. Dafür 1 Punkt Abzug.

Trotzdem finde ich das Futterhaus toll und kann es empfehlen. Wir haben einen großen Untersetzer als Dach darüber gehängt, jetzt bleibt alles trocken.

Amazon Kunde: Die Vögel lieben den Futterspender total! An drei Nächten in Folge war am Morgen alles ausgeschüttet, das war wohl ein Waschbär, der mich auf dem Balkon schon ein paarmal besucht hat. Der Futterspender hängt unten im Strauch. Seit ich ihn abends reinhole, ist alles prima. Der Futterspender ist auch bei Regen dicht, im Zweifelsfall trocknet das Futter ja über Nacht, was aber noch nicht der Fall war. Ich gebe eine absolute Kaufempfehlung! Bin super zufrieden damit!!

David Milnes: Very well made indeed, probably the best bird feeder I have found.
However, rain can get in down the steel cable that it hangs from, and through the collar and into the seed, which causes it to clump inside the feeder. A partly succesfull fix has been to press a lump of blu-tack onto the lid where the steel cable passes through, but maybe a silicone grommet inside may be better.
