Lama: I have been using this for over a week for my Macbook Pro to connect an external monitor by HDMI,Ethernet cable via an internet connection, and macbook connected to for recharging, pretty happy with it, better than the one I got back in 2020 that's double the price and didn't last long.

Neo: Hub connected to Mac thunderbolt port without issue, I was up and running in short order. Then I connected a wireless USB mouse and second screen in the form of an older VGA monitor with a USB C adapter. Everything worked great for awhile, until he monitor would blank out on occasion. I contacted customer support which quickly responded to my inquiry and offered solutions to my issue. I have to say they went above and beyond to help. In the end however I had to exchange the item for a different model. The fault was using an adapter ( hdmi, usb a, or usb c ) to connect the native VGA port of the old monitor. Once I received a different model hub with a native VGA connection on the hub all my issues were resolved. I feel confident in the quality of MOKiN products and their knowledgeable support team.

SA Washburn: Worked perfectly from the first time I plugged it in. I use it for wired network connection, usb flash drives, usb mouse, as well as an external monitor. very lightweight material. I have never had an issue with any accessories not working with it.

The only issue I can see with it is the fact that when I am using it as a network adapter and usb hub for a mouse it can heat up over time. at times it gets fairly hot which MAY shorten the lifespan of the product but this is only my speculation as I have not had any issues since I purchased it months ago and I use it almost everyday, ofter for hours and hours at a time.

Chroaz: Nice design and layout and seems like a quality build. Has all the ports I needed. I use it with my MacBook Air M1 and connect 2 USB external drives, a USB Headset, Web camera and an external HDMI Monitor + SD cards as needed and connect my Mac Power Supply to the USB C Power Port. All worked extremely well....until it didn't! One day, 7 1/2 months later (and out of warranty) it failed. The power passthrough woks but now none of the ports do, so cannot use it. Big shame, because otherwise it seemed to be a great unit. Does get a little warm, but not excessively so - I guess the electronics inside just gave up - otherwise I would have given this 5 stars.
UPDATE: I am updating this review to 5 stars because it appears I may have had a defective unit and MOKIN customer support immediately stepped up, and even though my unit was out of warranty they refunded the full cost of the Unit. Thank you MOKIN for excellent customer service and for looking after your customer. I will definitely purchase from you again.

Pater: The item appears as advertised. I’m currently using it to charge my laptop, display to a monitor and connect to a wireless keyboard and mouse and connect to the internet via Ethernet. I’ve noticed however that it seems to connect/disconnect to the laptop randomly and I have to fiddle with it a little to make it stop. Also I noticed today that the adapter has gotten warm/hot to the touch. I’ve rated it 3 stars because I’ve not had that experience with other similar adapters.

The Midkin USB-C dock works well, as long as all your accessories are wired. I was able to use in successfully with an Ethernet cable, USB-C wall charger (for power) and an external hard drive. The one thing that did not work was my wireless mouse. I have a Logitech M510 that works perfectly well when connected directly to the laptop. However, when I hook it up to the dock, the mouse cursor freezes randomly, and is very laggy overall. The scroll wheel barely works either. For this reason, I'll be returning this dock.

RedVortex: I tested (and returned) a few other brands adapters and this one is really the best so far. It has everything I need on it. Especially the ethernet port, HDMI and the 100 watts. I tested the ethernet and it really hits the 1gbit/sec without any issue. The hdmi output is very stable. Power passthrough is very high, my Macbook 2019 sees 89 watts which is way better than other adapters that usually let only about 60 watts pass (which ends ups draining the battery even while connected to power) or overheat so much you fear they'll melt your desk. This adapter becomes warms but remains in an acceptable range of heat. I also like the cable that is just a bit longer than other adapters, it allows me to better place it on my desk to reach the usb ports more easily. So far, I like it very much, very nice upgrade from my previous Startech adapter which started to show signs of age and also couldn't cope with the higher power demand of my MB Pro 2019. I recommend this adapter, good job Mokin.
