J. P. Demers: This bar is designed for mounting to wooden studs within the wall. The mounting hardware consists of six 2-inch screws, no anchors are provided. Unless you have wooden studs (*and* know where they are behind the tile, *and* the studs are placed where you want to mount the bar), you'll have to BYO plastic anchors and screws separately.
Light weight metal, but looks good - bar and escutcheons have a nice satin finish.

D. Masiello: Added safety bars to shower and toilet area. Added three of the same bars. They blend in well with brushed nickel shower faucet and they do not look like hooky safety bars for old people. In fact, in the shower I use the bars to dry damp laundry or my dive gear.

Sue LillySue Lilly: The media could not be loaded. Our bathroom was remodeled recently. We didn’t want to replace the grab bar with the institutional-style one we had before. The Moen grab bar is perfect! It’s sturdy but attractive, and seamlessly blends in with the Kohler fixtures.
If you’re extremely sensitive to small color differences, one caveat: The Moen grab bar’s brushed nickel color is a silver brushed stainless color. The photo in the listing shows a warm-tone brushed nickel (like the Kohler brushed nickel color) but in real life it’s a pure stainless steel color. The difference between the Moen color brushed nickel and the Kohler color brushed nickel is almost imperceptible. But if you think this will bother you, buy a Kohler grab bar.

David Elgie: Bought the first one to get a bathroom ready for my father-in-law. It has stood up well over the years so bought another for the other bathroom as we have taken over the house and plan on being here for awhile. Nice finish and solid. I put blocking between the studs for both bars, as the wall mounts are mounted 24" on center, you will miss one stud on a standard 16" on center stud, without blocking. The first bar I installed I cut the drywall and installed a block then re-drywalled. Allows 3 screws per mount so solid. I would buy the grab bar / towel bar by MOEN that comes with a plastic mount "secure mount anchor" to mount to a hollow part of the drywall, if you did not want to put blocking for one mount. However wood 2 x 6 blocking between studs is still the best method.
