Bizzy: It is not cool one bit for Sydney summer

Australia on Dec 07, 2020

jay: I purchased this item over a month ago and should have just bought a fan. The constant adding water to this device to work a little bit efficiently is nuts. And it doesn't even cool the room. This will only work... lets see... for a very small work area and if you want additional air to blow around you. Keep in mind, you still have to add water. I used a cup (8oz) and a half. It lasts a while before you have to refill, but it is a joke to me. I am filling it up for what? A puff of air. The lights on the bottom are cute in all the colors. My daughter was intrigued. Uh. If you forget to fill up the water compartment on the back, it will continue to run and display a red light. There are different air levels. The highest was too noisy and the lowest did hardly nothing at al. So I kept it in the middle so it can puff out air (you can see the air coming out). Daughter was intrigued by that too. Uh. Anyway, money wasted for me.

CaliforniaTeacher: Note: I live in a very dry and hot area of the US. It routinely reaches above 95 degrees during July, August, and parts of September. I have central A/C and use it in conjunction with these little fans, which are capable of cooling a very small area, very well.

This is a nifty misting fan. The spray of water is extremely fine and it does what it's advertised to do. It does take quite a lot of water, though; two cups every three hours or so. There can be some excess dripping, especially if you place anything too close to it.

I also have a mini-cooler that works with a filter--basically, the fan blows through a wet filter to chill the air instead of shooting out a mist. Those coolers use much less water, but are equally (if not more) cooling than these types of coolers. The benefit of this particular model is that you don't have worry about a filter becoming dirty or moldy (although if you live somewhere with hard water, I imagine the nozzle could become clogged; water minerals do stain the vents rapidly). The secondary features of this fan--the nightlight and timer--are very useful. The nightlight in particular allows you to see exactly how much water is left if you...

DARAYL LEVY: This product was an amazing disappointment. I did all my research and due diligence and the previous ratings it get were terrific. Got it home and it was very easy to put together and figure out. Problem is the damn thing doesn't cool off a room AT ALL! Acts just like a fan and that's only if you're within 5 feet of it. Needed it for my bedroom. I tried everything, keeping the door shut, keeping it open so the air conditioner from the other room could flow in, putting ice in it and it was just terrible!!! Unfortunately, I let too much time lapse, otherwise would have definitely returned it for my money back. Price was certainly right, but save your $89 folks!!!

Yoji82: I had it for 1 day, tested it out. It's a diffuser with a tiny little fan. I tend to run HOT. I live in southern California and it's hot hot hot in the summer. This didn't feel any different than a small desk fan. It was slightly cooling but don't expect much unless it's blowing directly on your face from 2 feet away. It most definitely cannot cool even a small hot room. If you are going to use it in an already air conditioned space and you have it close by... It's nice. But I recommend just buying a small desk fan instead.

Amazon Customer: I may have overhyped it by reading the other reviews but the coolant that this puts out is closer to a 'meh' than anything. I work from home and have two computers running in a small upstairs room in direct sunlight where I'm not permitted to have the door open so air can circulate. I purchased this product hoping that it would help keep me from melting, and so far it has. You absolutely need to put ice in it, if you want noticeably cooler air, but over time it does actually keep the room cooler. It's still not cool, by a long shot, but it's drastically more bearable than what I was dealing with previously. The cooling is more on the 'meh' tier but for sixty bucks it's solid. I think to get anything more impressive you're going to need to get a window AC unit or spend much more money. I do not regret my purchase.
