Miele Complete C3 Calima Canister Vacuum with HEPA Filtration for Allergen-Free Cleaning

Debbe1170: I just got my vacuum a couple of days ago. I can tell you it has powerful suction.It really cleaned my area rug very well. The nap stood up .I like I don't have to swiffer to get dust off my hardwood floors. They do feel cleaner. I will come back after awhile and update my review every now and then.** Here’s a update this machine is great and my only area carpet is getting dirt vacuumed up and my floor under carpet doesn’t have sand under anymore. I like you can turn down suction on like doing my blinds. It’s a small vacuum but it punch out dust and dirt. I used to think my Electrolux vacuum had a powerful suction . It don’t come close to this vacuum at all.

MBC: Updated: The vendor was incredibly helpful in resolving my issue and even provided an upgrade. Communication was excellent, delivery was fast, and the vacuum itself I really like. Pleasant to use, not nearly as heavy or bulky as I feared it might be. Love all the different settings for different uses. It's simple but powerful and nicely designed...feels good in the hand, plastic components are not flimsy. *Significant* improvement in performance over my former Shark stick vac.

The vacuum arrived on time and looks great, but the Handle-an essential part--is missing from the box. Disappointing, but Rapid City Vacuums was *very* responsive to my inquiry and sent an upgraded handle out ASAP. Will update this when the handle is received and issue is fully resolved.

Amy Seymour: I was nervous about purchasing this vacuum for the ratings people were giving it on hardwood floors. Now I am confused why? It is so maneuverable on my hardwood floors and picks up everything zooming around the house with ease. The suction power is perfect to get all the pet hair and debris without being too powerful that it so easily/smoothly glides over the floor. The vacuum follows behind like an obedient little dog. The vacuum really doesn't feel that much heavier to me when I carry it up to do the stairs and upstairs. I have owned multiple Dysons and they all eventually die from the clogged internal filter system that completely causes it to lose suction. So not worth the money. I like the bags on this vacuum that are easily changed eliminating the dust cloud you get emptying the Dyson. Who knew you could be excited about vacuuming? Do not hesitate in purchasing. So worth it!

Steve: The suction power is amazing. Given the power, it is surprisingly quiet. You can adjust the suction power. When I first saw this feature I commented, "Why would you ever want less suction?" -- It was so powerful that it was sometimes pulling the carpet up and making it difficult to push so I lowered to suction to about 50% which is still more than enough.

It was easy to assemble.

The wand and brush is light weight. The brushless head (for hardwoods) is very slim and fit nicely under and into small spaces.

We've been using this for a few months now. Hopefully, it lives up to the reliability reputation and lasts a long time. We consulted a lot of reviews including Consumer Reports and agree with the very high ratings. The only thing I can say negative about the unit (if you ask me to be as picky as possible) is the color is strange to me (though my wife likes it).

D. Holt: I’ve used only bargain vacuums my whole life and finally decided to spend the money for a better experience. My first decision was to get a canister vac, because maneuvering an upright around furniture and using it for stairs was driving me nuts. Once you want a canister, the choices are pretty stark: a super cheap Bissell, a mid tier Kenmore or Dyson, or the Miele. After using it a few times I’m already convinced that the Miele is worth the extra money.

Miele could make it easier to choose a model from their line up. Let me explain how I landed on the Calima because maybe that will help someone else looking. I have allergy and asthma sufferers in my house so it was the C3 Complete over the C1 for me because of the sealed bagged system and the HEPA filter. I have a decent sized house, so it was the full size over the compact, which has a bag about 1 cu. ft. smaller than the full size. Then it comes down to which combo of floorheads that you want. I have lots of hardwoods and tile with a few low pile area rugs and a few high pile area rugs.
