Kenmore 22614 Pet-Friendly, Lightweight and Bagless Compact Canister Vacuum Cleaner

Amazon Customer: Slightly heavier than my Hoover whisper zen which apparently is no longer made but this vacuum has excellent suction with the carpet attachment. If came with a pet pro attachment I haven’t used yet and a crevice tool and brush but no hard floor attachment which my other kenmore or canister vacs have. You can use the Capet attachment on a floor setting but it doesn’t work as well. Thankfully my Hoover hard floor brush fits the pole. So far one cleaning in I’m happy. I did have the under filterfall out halfway thru and the pole detached without trying to but hopefully that will all subside as I keep using. Also washable filter so great great great!

AJ in Texas: We had a Kenmore canister bagged vacum for years. It worked well and died of old age even after a motor replacement. Purchased a highend bagless vacum 8 years ago. It started to fall appart due to all the cheap plastic parts, but we liked the landfill friendly bagless aspect. So we purchased this unit based on reviews and has exceeded our expectations. 5 cats and two dogs is what this is up against. This is a solid machine but it can be easily rolled or carried wherever it's needed. The suction power is more than our previous vacum. It's easy to dispose of a full container. A little more cleaning maintenace due to the bagless feature. The same powerhead, roller bar height adjustments, disconnect feature and the power control at the handle that our previous canister vacum had years ago, have remained. Finally a company that believes " If aint broke, don't fix it"
One con, the suction is so great that the hairs on the duster attachment get sucked into the vacum hose clogging it. Just cut the number of hairs to allow the air to flow.
Highly recommended by this purchaser.

This thing practically drags me along. The wheels travel smoothly over my wooden floors and area rugs without a snag. I LOVE that the power head has lights. I now see dust I didn't with my old vacuum. I get migraines and I appreciate the light guiding me to the dusty areas that I need to clean. I also LOVE that there's a Dead Man Switch on the handle itself. I can now switch from rotating brushes to no rotation to off, if I accidentally suck up a tissue or a sock or something. Beautiful! I live in a one-story, three BR ranch. The cord is long enough to reach all the way into my bedroom bathroom, back to my kitchen, by my back door, etc. with the cord plugged in centrally in my hallway. My ONE qualm with this vacuum is that the dirt cup doesn't snap back on as easily as my last vacuum did. I have an arthritic left foot and found myself cursing while struggling to put the dirt cup back on. I recommend reading the manual and practicing popping the dirt cup on and off, before you get it dirty. Years ago I had a Kenmore that lasted quite a while, until the wire to the power head broke. Infinity*Galaxey: We purchased elite bagged version past summer and we are so pleased with the quality that we decided to get one for upstairs, this time we wanted to try bagless canister. Kenmore is best quality we can get without braking the wallet.

When purchasing a different brand from Canadian Tire and it was very disappointing in suction and quality that we threw it out but Kenmore vacuum purchased from Safari store through Amazon was very pleasant experience. We look forward to long lasting vacuums. Thank you.

JV: Update 9/2023 We could not figure out the issue and the warranty was over so we threw it away lol It was just not worth it and way too heavy and large to vacuum with to go spend the money to have it fixed by a repair person.

Update two years later 2/20/23, the floor head backing does not stand up anymore and it keeps spitting things back out. We can only use the extension wand and attachments. It doesn't suction like it used to and there is no clog. I'm gonna take it apart to clean it soon, replace the belt, and check to see if the brush roll needs to be replaced. I will update again. But yea, so far, I wish I didn't even buy it. Vacuuming over shag rugs has started to weigh on me. Plus, it's such a heavy vacuum to move around. Two reasons I would not buy it if I could go back.

I will update my review later if a problem arises but so far, everything is fine. I purchased this to vacuum 2" pile shag rugs, laminate, and tile floors plus curtains. This vacuum does pack a very good suction power, does pick up the kind of dog hair that is needle like which sticks stubbornly into things, and for sure works on shag rugs. It works so well that you'll have to pick the rug up...

Amazon Customer: Love this Kenmore 22614 Pet Friendly Bagless vacuum. Had one before that lasted about five years. Motor ended up burning out after moving to a new house, not sure if it was due to the move or just ran it's course. Bounced around vacuums but found none of them compared to this one. Lightweight and like the telescoping wand which makes it comfortable for me. Easy to empty the canister and picks up alot of dirt from carpets. Like that you can adjust motor height which allows me to vacuum varying types of carpet lengths.

Sandra MacMillan: I love this vacuum. It’s light easy to maneuver. Has great suction. I previously owned a Kenmore and after 25 years the motor went in the power nozzle so I purchased this one. I’m very impressed so far and no more bags. I couldn’t believe all the dirt it picked up. Love it!
