Miele Complete C3 Marin Canister Vacuum: Powerful Cleaning for Your Home

GBE: I bought this planning for it to outlast me. My kids don't like me saying that, but I really think it will last a long long time. I love canister vacs. I grew up with my parents old Electrolux. That was an excellent vacuum, and this Miele is even better. Super compact. It's quiet. All the attachments work great. Suction power is great. And I never smell anything when I turn it on. Most vacuums emit some dusty air when you first turn them on. I love the bagged system as well. I've had so many bagless vacuums over the past 10-15 years and it's kind of a drag having to constantly empty them, not to mention the dust that flies all over the place. Love this vacuum. Attachments all work great. It's small enough to lift up and carry if you're doing stairs or anything where you need to carry it. And I've been vacuuming almost daily for a few weeks and the bag still hasn't needed to be changed. Awesome. It's a LOT of money, but I say it's well worth it.

Little Rain: I’ve used this for four months now. This thing is freaking amazing. My hard floors are cleaner than they have ever been! I always have very dirty floors from having a dog, cat, dirt tracked in from my barn, and dirt from living on a dry desert dirt road. This vacuum picks up everything. It feels like I mopped the floor after I vacuum: no grit or fine dirt dust left on the floor. When I mop after vacuuming, the water/soap bucket has no dirt in it like it had contained for years. I have always bought Hoover uprights. They don’t compare at all to the suction and cleaning power that this vacuum has. I find the attachments a little hard to get on and off the pole/hose, but I’m getting much better at it. I like the onboard storage for tools, very handy and the tools don’t fall off like the old Hoover upright. The small tools are standard, can’t vacuum up my cat’s super fine and long hair off furniture or cat tower. No tools ever have, this wasn’t a big surprise to me. The tools work well for shelve dusting, baseboards, leather couch crevices and such. I found the printed instruction manual too general, not specific to this model. I had go online to figure out how to reset...

jane jackson: Very quiet, only thing I don't like is it's difficult on stairs, and I prefer also the floor part not to swivel, as it looks nicer after it's vacuumed that way.

The Monkey: Wow. This is a great vacuum cleaner. Powerful suction ... cleans really well. My only criticism is that the powerhead for use on carpets is big and heavy. With everything else being so wonderful, couldn't this company have come up with something a little lighter and smaller? But aside of this one problem..... you can't beat this vacuum. It's body is lightweight and easy to carry around. Love the way the attachments are stored in the body of the vacuum. The retractable power cord is wonderful. I bought this at the same time I bought a Dupray steam cleaner, and ---between the two of them---there's no cleaning job I can't handle now!

z: Great machine, only concern is how sensitive the cord rewind button is. If the hose gently touches it, the cord rips out of the outlet and quickly rewinds. If you have the cord in your hand and are ready for this action, it is no problem but when it happens unexpectedly it is a bit dangerous. That being said, I love this vacuum, it is simply the best I've ever used and the chore of vacuuming now seems effortless. When i'm done not only is my house nice and clean but the dust bunnies from the pets don't resurface a few hours later as this vacuum vents out the top, not onto the floor. So all those dust bunnies get sucked up, not blown up all over into the air.

Kylie T: I got my new Miele four hours ago. I just spent three and half of those hours vacuuming almost every surface in our house. This thing is magic.

Background: Husband and I both work long hours, we've got two Maine Coons, and we're remodeling an old house. On top of that, I struggle with both ADD and depression, so I have two speeds - either EVERYTHING ALL AT ONCE or constantly sleeping - and cleaning is not always a priority. Needless to say, between cat hair and sawdust, our house is pretty gross most of the time.

When I bought our Dyson Animal five years ago, it was the most expensive thing I'd ever purchased. I did a ton of research and read all the reviews. Immediately out of the box, I hated it - it has a tendency to blow dust AWAY from the nozzle - but I figured I'd give it some time and maybe I'd come around. Lately it's had zero suction despite my best attempts at cleaning it, and when my sister said she loved her Miele, I figured I'd check it out.

This was not an easy purchase. This thing costs more than my current vehicle.

It is worth every penny.

Where my Dyson was an apathetic beast at best, the Miele came out of the box fully...
