Cranking a valve open & shut every time I needed to turn off or on the hose was just too hard on my arthritic hand, and I was looking for a solution. This is it! I've been using them for a couple years now, they don't leak, they're solid, and so easy to use. Just flip the gate up or down - or partway, that works too. Great idea!

Bob Law: The control valve is well made, easy to use and arrived on time. I am using it on my RV for the city water hook-up. Using it I can do all the hook-up and then turn on the water at the RV inlet.

dafeist: Had a metal Y that was so difficult to turn on and off. This is fabulous, turns on with just one finger. Made of plastic though, hopefully it will last.

GB: The first one only lasted one season, thought I'd give it another go so purchased this one. Many people are finding these leak were the screws attach to the flow control handle. If that was fixed it would be a five star item.

REO: I like the design, what I call the fire hose valve design. Very easy to control water flow. I had an issue with the first two that I ordered. They started to leak around the pivot point of the valve along the side. I don't think it was from freezing but can't say for sure. I bought two more of the new design and am hoping for better results? Will update review if anything changes.

Danyo: just need this because my water value is out of reach and hard to get to.
I installed this in front of more garden hose and use it as a closed off valve.
it's all made from plastic, seems flimsy but it's doing the job so far.

Beau: This is a well designed and manufactured device that contributes to my quality of life. Of the several attributes that cause me to recommend it, the most important is the fact that it does not leak. I absolutely hate using a hose attachment that constantly drips onto me. I believe the plastic collar on the female side has two important functions. It makes it easy to tighten and loosen the connection, but more ingeniously, it prevents over tightening. One the connection is sufficiently snug, the collar will slip rather than over tighten. I convinced that for most ofy life, I have been unwittingly crushing hose washers out of shape in an effort to stop leaks.

Next, having the ability to switch out attachments without trapezing back to the hydrant saves so much time and effort. The ball valve toggle operates effortlessly and dependablly, without a hint of a drip. After a full season of use, there is no sign corrosion or any other deterioration. If either of the two I have now are damaged or wear out, I will replace the immediately. If you have a hose, you want one of these.
