Sider Brighthelm: Now I can easily hook up my keyboard and mouse or an Xbox controller and use my phone as a portable console especially with the onset of cloud gaming. It also lets me view media on larger screens without wasting battery to cast over WiFi. It seems to be a little sluggish on larger TV's but it's still great to use.

Brandon K. F.Brandon K. F.: Apple famously had the courage to remove the headphone jack in the iPhone and also for the Mac removed the USB-A ports for the 2015 MacBooks. Since then dongles have been the way of life for Apple users and users of devices from companies that copied Apple. This dongle is very solid in both materials and sense of preparedness. It is made of aluminum and has a sturdy rubber cable to the plug. I got it after I found that I still need to use USB-A ports occasionally since I have not completely switched to USB-C. At university, they don't necessarily agree that it is worth switching to USB-C for everything quite yet so I had to fix the issue of USB-A and HDMI connectivity with this. This dongle is great because it can pass through HDMI, USB-A, SD cards, and power all through the one port. This leaves your other USB-C ports available for whatever else you need to plug in to your computer. The USB-A ports are USB 3.0 which are starting to show their age, but I got this dongle for less than $20 so that's the speed I paid for with this hub.
Overall very solid product for around $20! Plus it came in a pleasing foam package that fits it perfectly if you are into that sort of thing.

This is one of the most useful cables I have, I like to have one to travel with to hook up phones and laptops to TVs and monitors. I have used this cable with my Mac book and other Dell laptop import images from memory card to external drives.
