Helene: I bought this for my 15 year old daughter for her math classes. She is very careful with her things so It will work for her. My son would've broken everything within a week.
I would recommend for anybody who is careful with the items.
The box is not sturdy.

Cookie Queen: I bought a couple of metal compases and struggled to tightened the little screws on them and to get a really small circle drawn. Yes I bought a small sized compass. This one works really good for my need. I use it on rocks in particular. Can get super small size circles as well as larger. It feels very comfortable using a pencil which I prefer. For THIS price, it is top notch. I am using this for art projects and not actual Math classes, but for my art need - this works really SUPER! For all that is contained in this kit AND price, this IS worth trying.
