TB: This would be great for an area with a lot of sun, on shady days it does not work well at all - full sun, no clouds it works good.

Falcon2: This little solar powered bird fountain works OK but the side prongs do not install as shown in the instructions. Probably would not recommend it to others but not irritated enough to return it to amazon. It looks sturdy enough but only time will tell if it really is.

J. Smith: I really liked the patterns available and the solar powered feature of this fountain.

You put it in water, it floats, and shoots water into the air in different patterns, depending on the attachment you choose. It is definitely plug and play. Nothing at all hard in the install.

Be sure there is ample sunlight where you install it. If there isn't, it's kind of spurty and inconsistent, but it still works. The arms that keep it from drifting too close to the edge are a great idea, and they work well. The brighter it is, the higher the spray.

This was also so interesting that raccoons and possums, as well as who knows what else, were so fascinated that they dragged it out of the water supply I had left for them almost constantly. Every couple of days or so, it would be tossed into the yard, and eventually, they bit the flotation rubber off of it, so I had to improvise, but the fountain itself is still going strong. I think this is a great value, and I am really happy with the way it performs as well.

Plus, wildlife seems to like it...

Tdaoust: I call this my “poor man's water feature.” I love looking out my window to see birds getting a drink or taking a shower under the water shooting up. I should warn you about a few things. 1. This thing can empty your birdbath in 20 min on a windy day. All the water goes over the side. Oops. 2. My first one of this brand unexpectedly stopped working after 2 weeks. I had to return it and ask for a replacement, which arrived quickly. The new one is working fine so far (about one week). 3. Don't buy one of these without the nifty little outriggers that keep the fountain away from the edge of your birdbath. 4. Don't lose the outriggers in the grass. They are impossible to find in tall grass and there's only one solution...buy a new fountain. Good luck. I love mine, now that this replacement is working. Enjoy.

3months after I purchased it… today i tried to clean the unit and the birdbath.
After cleaning was done, I added water and placed the fountain on the bath, just as what I had done in the past few months.
What… no water from the fountain, even with full sun!
I shook the unit. Put it back on the bath. Still not water fountain. Very disappointed. It will be put into recycle bin. Disappointed.
DON’T BUY. NOT RECOMMENDED. Junk… 😠

1 month after I deployed it, today, as a routine, I took the fountain aside and I used bare hands to wash the birdbath. Then I noticed the solar surface looked unusual… there were dark and shiny areas on the Matt grey surface. I took a closer look… the Matt grey color was actually a coating on the surface of the solar cells. Some of this coating had become loose. I moved my bare hand over the spot… wow… the grey coating came off. See for yourself…

This was totally unexpected. Thus far, this issue does not seem to stop the fountain from working under the sun. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I hope the manufacturer can respond to this issue.
