Lilye May: Replaced broken pump in cat-fountain with this unit. The cats are fascinated by the colored lights that the old pump did not have. They stare at it a lot. Keeps them from destroying what is left of our house.

Diabletyne: Pompe submersible très puissante un peu bruyante mais je l'ai installé sur un caoutchouc à l'intérieur du ma fontaine et on ne l'entend plus. Je la recommande mais pour une grosse fontaine.

Michael C.Michael C.: I purchased this product to replace a previous version of the pump that was shipped with a PetMate Deluxe Fresh Flow water fountain/dish. The main difference between these two pumps was that the original had a dial knob that was used to control the water flow (see attached picture). This new one uses a slider inside the front "filter", and must be adjusted with the unit outside of the fountain/dish; this is not a problem once the right flow is determined. But I did prefer the ease of use of the original flow control. Note: The old front flow controller/filter could be used with the new unit, but it is not as snug as I would like.

The only negative I can really state is that the rubber suction cups REALLY work well on the plastic of the fountain. Unfortunately, the downside is that when I have to remove the pump from the fountain to clean it (and I have to do that at least once a week, as my cats tend to drop food into this dish), the suction cups stay behind, pulling out of the pump. I never had that problem with the old pump. I have found that this is not too bad, as with the help of a jeweler's flathead screwdriver, I can pop them back into the bottom of the pump without...
