LInda G: I tried to reach out to the seller via the AMAZON return and the seller denies selling this product. Fortunately it started working again on its own. However, I had to take it down a week while I was recovering from surgery and when I put it back out it won't work. Now I'm stuck with a non working product and no one to reach out to for the warranty. So sad....birds loved it and I loved the adjustable feature as I have a shallow bird bath and can control the height of the spray.

Anthony: I purchased the first fountain two years ago and it recently stopped working, so I decided to purchase another. Immediately I could tell this one was made differently but thought maybe they updated it. Then I realized it doesn’t shut off if the water level gets too low. That’s a deal breaker for me because I can’t monitor the fountain to make sure it always has water beneath it. That was a great feature on the old model and sad to see it’s not on this one. I’m returning it simply because of that.

Tom UptonTom Upton: While a delightful idea and product, there are some things to know. The sponge filter is too coarse to filter effectively. Fortunately it is well designed (up to a point) and easy to disassemble and reassemble for cleaning. Here you see a leaf found its way into the impeller and stopped it dead cold. Water outdoors is subject to debris...so this a problem. this is a great item to have if you like fixing things.

I have it in a large bowl I got from Goodwill as an experiment in creating a fountain for Hummingbirds. It floats in the center using the tethering line included. It is remarkably powerful in full sun and you can gauge the height of the water with an aperture adjustment at the intake port under the aforementioned filter. Do know that higher settings will send the water out of the bowl and this requires constant refilling.

The persistent problem is that i have to clean out the impeller daily, while easy to do, it is a pain the neck. I am trying different additional filter items and have used a kimwipe and a coffee filter with pinholes but these are only temporary fixes. i am hopeful a fine brass screen may work but have not tried it as of yet. ~TEU...

ML MooreML Moore: Until today, I would have described this product as "simple and bulletproof" based on the first unit I bought (August 2020). That unit is still going strong today. I don't abuse it or baby it, and it was frozen solid in the bird bath during its first winter and it returned to working on its own as soon as the ice thawed. I was impressed, though I no longer leave it out during hard freezes.
I bought a second unit in Sept 2021. The newer model has an extra feature with a lever underneath so you can reduce the amount of water flow, useful if placing in a small bird bath and using the fountain feature, since you can empty your bird bath if not careful. That newer unit actually seemed a bit stronger, but it may have been just that it was newer. Today, that newer unit stopped suddenly. It is not dirty and the pump is not blocked; the pump unit does not even try (you can feel the vibration of a working pump even if not in the water at the time). Dead as a doornail. So, not sure how to rate reliability based on these two units. I like them, and do recommend them, but your results may vary.
Since the malfunctioning unit is less than six months old, I sent a message to the Seller to...

Christy: This little garden gadget it pretty neat. The top is completely covered with solar panels that make the pump work. There are also different settings and different strengths for which the water is pushed out of the motor. it's pretty cool and we enjoy having it in our garden. there are a few things to be aware of if you are looking to buy it, nothing that is a make it or break it type of situation, but things to keep in mind. Even though there are different strengths for water flow, it seems to either be too much or too little and it either sprays so high the water goes over the side of the bird bath or too little and it hardly makes a ripple, even with using different nozzle settings. Also, the suction cups don't stick to concrete if you have a concrete bird bath. we solved the issue by surrounding the fountain with stones to keep it where we want it. also, make sure you keep your bird bath and filter clean otherwise it will quickly clog and it won't work properly. If for whatever reason, you need to turn the fountain off, just turn it upside down so it can no longer absorb sunlight, and it will stop running.
