Allyson Doerfler: I'm suspicious that the originals are inferior to get people to order replacements. I'm glad I didn't toss cat fountain altogether, and ordered this replacement instead. It pumps a lot more water and is very quiet.

Amazon Customer: Could completely be my fault but that is unknown. My husband has a 10ft pontoon boat that got too much rain in and now we cannot move the boat until the water is drained out of the pontoons. Bought this pump to pull water through a 10ft tube I bought. I'm pretty sure the motor is dead after a couple days of use. (Not a solid 48 hours but likely too long for the pump to not be submerged.) I'm not faulting the product because for all I know it sucked up some debris and that killed it. Worked great while it lasted.
