J Williams: LaCrosse Technology is my favorite brand of weather monitor. I own four of their display units including this one and some other models, and will probably buy more to replace less-reliable and less-accurate ones of other brands. One important thing to know about this one that displays status for three wireless sensors, is that the type of batteries you use can make a difference in readability. I had been using Eneloop rechargeable batteries, and the display would fade within days of putting freshly-charged batteries in. I decided to try a new type of rechargeable batteries, lithium-ion AA batteries with a USB port right on the battery, no charging unit needed, many choices of these on Amazon. (I got SZEMPTY Lithium 1.5V Rechargeable Batteries AA, Li-ion USB AA Battery 2600mWh, blue and yellow colored. Search for it on Amazon.) The display unit has been working great on these new batteries for several weeks now. So, go ahead and get one of these if you need to see the status of three wireless sensors at a glance. Just be sure to use the lithium-ion rechargeables that I'm recommending for it, and not NiMH.

Shannon: This weather station was exactly what I was looking for. It uses batteries so no trying to position it close to an outlet to plug it in. It was a breeze to set up and it works perfectly.

Elizabeth Statice: A surprisingly good design, 4.8 stars.
For the main unit and three remotes, you will need 2 AA alkaline batteries each, 8 total.
The deluxe: Accurate! Remotes match each other, and other devices.
The remotes deploy easily. I attached the remotes to wood surfaces with #8 1¼ inch lath screws using the provided hole through the remote. You can also loosely hang the remotes on a #6 pan-head screw, but that is not secure in earthquake country.
The battery door is accessible when mounted, so you don't need to take it down to change batteries. When set up properly, the base unit calibrates time to WWV exactly to the second, and matches internet time on the computers, so I can carry it around the house to set the other clocks.
My remotes are deployed in the basement, the garage, and a northeast-facing corner in the back wall, just below the roof overhang. Now I know how warmly to dress before leaving the house, or raiding the freezer in the garage.
The semi-deluxe: The main unit and the remotes are designed for a pair of 1.5V alkaline batteries. The "low battery" warning appears for 1.2V NiMH or NiCD batteries. The main unit draws about 0.4 mA. A...

Reg M.: Works great, although I would prefer to be able to manually change the comfort settings that shows a happy face or not. Make note, you have to set each sensor to 1, 2 or 3 to get them to read to the base unit. Once you do that, since they all come set to 1, easy setup and almost instant reading of the sensors.

Pen: I have a heated garage some distance from my house and a basement shop that is heated only with a space heater when it's super cold out. This wireless gizmo allows me to keep tabs on everything from the comfort of my kitchen when the weather is really cold. It picks up the time and date by satellite so I always have the correct time and date, just in case I don't know the date . . . Like if I've been on a bender or something. It's also fairly attractive and unobtrusive on a counter or desk top. The temperature sensors are all within a couple of degrees and the humidity sensors are all within about 5% of each other. That's the best you can expect from one of these inexpensive units and really all you need.
The only down side so far is that the display is not back lighted, so readability is dependent upon ambient lighting. Otherwise it's a clear enough display.

TheRob: I bought the unit with 3 sensors. Like other reviewers, I was concerned that the sensors would not show consistent readings. Upon initial setup two sensors were equal and the 3rd one was off by .2 degrees. I can with .2 degrees. Also, I'm replacing an older thermometer because I wanted more sensor locations. The new La Crosse shows the same temperature as the old thermometer so I'm pleased with that! I have one sensor outside, one sensor in a new unheated patio room, and 1 sensor about 100 feet from the house in my shed. All sensors are reporting fine. I'm very pleased with this product!
