Doug C: The base unit connected easily to the atomic clock and to the outdoor sensor. It seems to be accurate. As other reviews have mentioned, the LED screen, although very attractive, has a fairly narrow field of vision, so be sure you can locate the base unit where you can view it straight on.

I was given a slightly older model than this but the person had lost the external sensor so the remote part wasn't working. I looked around for the sensor and it is available, but it would have been hard to find and fairly expensive here in Canada.
So instead of looking for the sensor, I bought this weather station because it includes the sensor which was needed for my older station. I bought a warehouse special from Amazon for a very inexpensive price and it showed up the very next day. It was in a plain brown box but it looked brand new.
So I put batteries into the remote sensor and the weather station itself and fired it up and to my great surprise, the remote sensor information shows up in both stations simultaneously!
I placed the older weather station outside in a screened porch, and now I can tell the difference in temperature inside the porch and outside in the windy yard, and in the house I can see the inside temperature and the outside information as well on the new weather station.
I am very happy with my purchase!

Sergio : Está de buen tamaño, los números se ven claros. Por el precio si vale la pena, incluye la fase lunar y te indica si sube o baja la presión atmosférica con unas barritas.

Works well, big color screen seen from afar. The main unit works with AC power adapter, with battery back up.
It does not display a reading of the pressure, but charts the changes over time. The atomic clock set where I live does not work, but once set, the unit keeps time accurately. Good instructions are printed on the back of the unit next to the buttons. The sensor is accurate and communicates well to the indoors unit on 433 MHz, without using Wifi and its headaches. It does not interfere with other gadgets using the frequency.
I wish the main unit would keep the collected data in a spreadsheet on a micro SDcard, but this model does not.

I like it. This was purchased to replace a unit from another manufacturer from well over a decade ago. As usual for antiquated tech, that old one cost about twice as much as this one for a black and white, generally 'old fashioned' look and feel, etc. I'd kind of wanted to do the whole wind/rain thing and hook up to 'net, etc. But due to trees and wife rolling her eyes as I worked out roof mounting, I just went with the basics!
It's only been in a day, so I can't comment on longevity. But I like this unit. It's clear, easy to read from 5-10' away, which as far as I'm going to really be looking at it in our kitchen. One thing that might be nice is for it to automatically dim in lower light conditions, but this really isn't a big deal. The outside sensor, (about 20' away through walls and glass), synched immediately and tracks well, (within a degree), of another old fashioned thermometer. right now, it's sitting on a counter, but it's going to be mounted about 5.5' up on a wall. I did notice that when viewing from below, some parts near the top of the display can fade out a bit from the angle. And this starts as soon as maybe 10 degrees up, and gets worse....

Works perfectly.... easy to set up... remember to look at a calendar to set the moon phase correctly...I had a Celestron model 47011 but it was discontinued by the manufacturer, so I had a little apprehension in buying this unit from La Crosse.... we use the weather station daily, as it
gives us an indication of temperatures both inside and out , and we then set our Mitsubishi heat pump according.

Sawfingers: This replaced a La Crosse Model WS-80365U-IT that still functions after 8 years of continuous operation, but is now located in another part of the house. The new 308-1425B arrived Wednesday afternoon. I set it up according to instructions. Initially the main unit was not receiving the sensor's signal and then followed instructions to resolve. The sensor then worked and I mounted it on the inside of a porch pillar shaded from the sun. Usually the WWMF Atomic clock signal is received overnight. But as noted in the manual it took until Friday night (2nd night) for the unit to receive the signal. I have the main unit located on an inside wall in the Kitchen facing East. In order to receive the initial WWMF signal, I set the unit by a window and the unit intercepted the Atomic Clock WWMF signal. The radio tower icon identified in the user manual now shows on the unit's display. I don't agree with other viewer's comments that the display is hard to see unless you look at it directly. I think the display is very visible and easy to read as we walk around the kitchen. At a glance all the display data is readily visible. Other reviewers who stated the product...
