Kalawen Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Weather Station with Atomic Clock

Toolman: I bought this to replace an older model when the outside unit died. $20+ to replace the sending unit. Another $20 gets a whole new display with easy to read numbers. Old one had black LED characters on an unlit background. There's a large variety of options as to character size and location of readouts on these weather stations. My focus was on finding one big enough to see, but not so big that it was in the way. This can be read from any point in a large room. Provides lots of information and it's also a very capable night light. Shuts down at 3 am every night for a few minutes to calibrate time. I like it! Would recommend to others

Angela: Overall I like the weather station; however, the indoor temp has been stuck for over a week on 73.5° F, day and night. I don’t know how to remedy the problem without resetting it and starting over. Will it work after resetting it? God only knows. I just haven’t felt up to the task yet. I just had it for a few months and it still should work correctly, IMO.

MagicBill: This clock has a weather station coupled with it. There is a lot of information on this clock. I hung it on the wall higher than my eyesight and it's not that easy to read from that angle. There is a seperate unit that is installed outside that sends a signal to the display for outside temperature and hunidity. All in all, it's a pretty decent weather station coupled with a clock.

Jor ElJor El: The media could not be loaded.  I was looking for an affordable weather station to hang near my bed so I can know at all times the current weather and temperature. I purchased this particular model as its wall mountable as well as a desk stand model. Also comes with a wireless outdoor sensor so you can display the indoor and outdoor temperature at the same time. Also has clock, alarm and other features as well. It has a usb port in the back so I can charge my phone at night as well. I just wish it had a 5 day weather forecaster so I can see future days of the week like my old model. I found it a bit hard to get it to sync with atomic service so I had to move this station closer to the window for it to sync properly. (May take a few hours or couple of days to sync for the first time!). Otherwise, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Note: Keep outdoor sensor away from bright sunlight or rain. Its good for a porch or area that has some cover for protection. Otherwise you may get hot readings from the sunlight that is not accurate.

B AtkinsonB Atkinson: I have long owned a large, easy to read, battery powered digital clock/indoor-outdoor thermometer that's been mounted on my bathroom wall so I would know 'what to dress for' before going to work each day in an outside job.

When one of my friends' digital alarm clocks failed just before her birthday several months ago, I was thinking along the lines of something similar, but nothing that simple was available. So, I bought something that showed time, indoor outdoor temperatures and humidity as well as moon phase, barometer, and even a visual weather forecast. She loved it!

So, as a Christmas present for myself, I decided I'd get one for my bedroom and mount it to the wall 3 feet from my bedside so I could see it when I woke up several times during the night as usual as well as in the morning. I looked at getting the same as hers but then recalled it didn't have a 'dim' lighting setting while plugged in and would only go dark - but remain readable in a lit room - when the power was off and it was running on a battery. None of the other comparable units of that brand had a dim setting either.

So, I decided to look at the offerings from the same brand as my trusty...
