loris capria: Jebao products are usually better. This doser has most of the peristaltic pumps mounted wrong so you need to check the manual and fix them. Also when fixed they are not precise. If you need to dose 50-100ml liquids without great precision is a good compromise. I use it for automatic water change

Ralph Santos: I have purchased four Jebao DP-4 units. In all four units the packaging was intact and there was no indication that the units were second-hand or re-sold. All the units had the pump unit, a power supply and an extra pump head. The unit cases were all apparently solid and cleanly put together. The menu interface allows for setting date/time, pump dosing schedule programming, pump volume calibration and manual pumping, and all the functions were reasonably easy to access. As other reviewers have noted the clocks can drift noticeably but no worse than your run-of-the-mill bedside clock radio might, at least as far as I can tell.
The most important part of these pumps, however, also seems to be the weakest point. Among the four units (four DP-4 units total 16 pump heads) I've purchased three pump heads have proven unreliable to the point where I don't use them, even after switching out several pump heads (I now understand why the put an extra one in each box). The peristaltic pump head unit is a plastic assembly with three plastic rollers pressing a latex tube against the outer shell of the assembly, and the whole assembly is basically press-fitted onto a bare metal shaft. This...

ShawnShawn: The media could not be loaded. I purchased this about a year ago so I thought it was a good time to leave an accurate review.
My problem: I have an aquarium in which I was manually dosing fertilizer and I wanted a way to automate it
This product was so cheap compared to others I thought it would be garbage in a few months but wow was I wrong in that assumption. It's been about a year now I think and it's been used every single day multiple times. I use one of the pumps to dose an accurate amount of fertilizer into the tank and then use another pump to top off the water that evaporates. I assumed because of how much water I pump into the tank on a daily the motor or something would give out but it has not. Very impressed and I would buy this all over again.
The LCD menu is pretty easy to use, with no issues at all. Took me a few minutes to figure it out and from that point, after setting everything I just set it and forget it!
Pro's
-navigation very easy to use
-cost vs other comparables
-quiet
-reliable
-4 pumps in total
Cons:
-None, I cant even think of something to improve
If you have a use for it and your...

Frank rowe: Works ok I had to watch a utubevvideo to figure out how to celebrate and program this thing the manual is terrible . Also the biggest issue I see with this is it doesn’t keep the programming if there is a power failure . Weird thing is the clock hAs an internal battery backup but not the programming ?. I have had to redo everything. 3 times now .
I ordered a battery backup system for that . Now I had to spend another 70 bucks

CKCK: This is a long term review as this was bought January 2018 and used yearly, monthly, weekly, daily ever since.
A large freshwater planted tank this is for which I wanted to give a bit more automation. I dose in total nitrate, phosphate, potassium, iron, magnesium and micro and typically I've done this daily by hand however when I leave town having to be away for days or a couple weeks at a time the tank still must be fed. I picked this to give me a hand and it's worked very well.
Some general thoughts:
The LCD displays an intuitive system in how to operate program and operate the auto doser. I find it extremely easy to input my own schedule.
It has a long power cord something that is always a nice thing for those who don't have an outlet right beside the unit.
This unit has the wonderful ability to serve as master to a 2nd slave block of pumps. This is what I have done and purchased Jebao's Dp-4S. The 'S' designates slave. In my pictures the slave unit is located below the master. To make the units talk there is a small standard phone cable that plugs into jacks on each unit.
Once a very few months I've just been testing the output to see...

Mike G.: Construction:
The buttons, LCD, and pump heads seem to be of pretty high quality, though the case feels cheaply made. The power jack on the unit I received has a poor connection and the unit will lose power if the cord is angled incorrectly. This is mostly just an annoyance since the unit is secured inside the tank stand. The cord that comes with the unit also sticks straight out of the back, so although the unit itself is only roughly 6 inches deep, you need to provide an extra inch or so of clearance for the plug. Space in my stand is at a serious premium, so this wasn't an option for me. I had to buy a new AC power adapter with a 90 degree barrel plug in order to reduce the clearance in the back.
Although the instructions state that the unit isn't waterproof, mine survived, so far without issue, after being sprayed with several gallons of saltwater due to a burst pipe fitting on the tank return. While I wouldn't recommend replicating my unintentional experiment, it does seem to prove that the unit is fairly durable.
Use:
The unit doesn't come with tubing, so you will need to pick up some airline tubing before you can get started.
The instructions are...

Luis: This Doser is super awesome and for the price you cannot beat it. Do not expect anything fancy, it works, and it is accurate. It is just a couple of boards with a shell connected to dosing heads. No fancy apps or remotes you just set it and forget it. One thing to keep in mind is that if you have issues with it not keeping the schedule and time you set that you may have to replace the internal memory battery or make sure the contacts on the battery are not bent out of shape. In my experience, I set it and when I unplugged it would reset the time and schedule. I then opened it to check to see if it had a battery and it did. I checked the battery, and it was reading the proper voltage. I noticed that the contacts were barely touching, so I bent them slightly and it worked as advertised.
