iMomwee Chrome Stainless Steel Bathroom Safety Grab Bar Handle

Steve Doberman: I have purchased 6 of these thus far. I have placed them in both of the showers in my house. They are heavy duty and when properly installed will safely hold a great deal of weight. I installed mine directly into wall studs, so they are very firmly secured. Having said that, I would not at all be comfortable with the wall fasteners supplied with the bar, as they are designed for general installations that would not have a wall stud available to anchor into.

Elliot: The grip bar were pretty much as described. What I found lacking was the installation instructions and the size of the screws provided to mount the bars. I up graded the screws to a 2 inch size 9 treated screw. The chrome finish on the bar was nice, but I wonder if a matte finish would make one's grip more secure?

Theresa Corbeille: Disliked the small screws to hold in place. We replaced with 4 inch screws. Very secure. No concerns of gripping bars and have them pull loose. I would recommend longer screws, safety issues. I recently broke my knee. We had entrance from garage to kitchen, with one step. Wanting to get outside safely we put these bars on side wall in garage. A blessing. I can get outside safely. We did have a ramp in front of house, literally a royal pain. Always needing help. With the use of back door, I can safely get in and out with assistance. I’m Happy.

Felix: Bars come with stainless steel screws and plugs for installation in drywall if you cannot find a stud or wood. The screws I got were "soft" and my cross point/phillips bit kept gouging out the grooves and I could not drive or remove the screws, had to use pliers. My bit was new and good quality, and I drilled pilot holes. This is not the first time I have had problems with SS screws, and I believe some of just of lesser quality. Do yourself a favor, get a box of good quality SS screws before starting out. AND, be sure to have a carbide bit to get through tile.
