Marti: Great little fan for Florida heat and humidity! Keeps the air moving and very useful around the house. It's size and lightness makes it easy to move around and place on a counter if needed. My old fan bit the dust when my cat pushed it off a bookcase. The wider base on this should prevent kitty events.
Great to put on the floor and easy to adjust air flow. Fan tilts and is easy peazy to adjust air flow where needed.
Since I use year round and almost daily I'll try to put an update on here once I establish longevity. Hope to have it for a while, happy with purchase!

I liked this little powerful fan so much that I ended up buying a total of three.
I use one fan to direct cold air from a window air conditioner, the second fan to supply air flow in a room that doesn't have a ceiling fan, and I keep the third fan nearby to blow directly on me when I'm at my computer.
Not too loud, just a steady white noise and very good at pushing air across the room, three fan speeds, low, medium, high.
And far less expensive for me than running the central air conditioning to cool down the whole house, I'm typically in the same room most of the time.
If you love the wind, and are looking for better than a gentle breeze, I imagine you will love this strong little fan.
NOTE: I purchased two brand new fans, all good. But the third fan was a used fan for a lesser price, it had a slight imbalance on the blades that did not affect function but generated a mild detectable buzzing noise, not the motor but the way the air passed through the blades. Not a problem for me, but consider buying a brand new one (not a used one) if you don't want to risk imperfections like this.

Happy Canuck: I have zero complaints for this fan (I bought 2 of them). They move huge amounts of air for their size. I actually have to move the fan further away from me because it was too windy (and the fan was on low). The blades are well protected so it si safe around pets and little kids.

I very much recommend these fans.

IlyaIlya: The media could not be loaded.  Be careful, this fan not really quiet :(
Can not suggest it for a bedroom. On a distance about 2 meter it produces: 48+-1 db on a slower speed and about 55 db on a highest.

R.K.R.K.: Last summer, I jettisoned my beloved Air King 12-inch industrial fan with almost similar configuration as this Comfort Zone high-velocity fan. I believed I bought the Air King brand from Walmart on sale around $30 about 10 years ago. Yes, it had served me so well. In fact, it was still running great and my only problem with that Air King was a broken switch after years of abuse lol. I can still operate the unit but I would have to use a plier and it would work sometimes, and at times no. I asked for quote on repair but realized that the repair cost for a switch is insane so I threw out the whole unit since my building AC had started running then. During dog days of summer, I like using an electric fan for air circulation in my apartment unit to complement the building AC.

Fortunately, Amazon sells Air King brand as well. At Walmart, it is no longer available. For me though, the current selling price of Air King brand is just ridiculous a.k.a. way too expensive for me. Thankfully, I found this Comfort Zone brand with a number of good reviews. I am more than satisfied with this purchase and therefore I would like to add to the positive reviews.
