Ktran: I got this after a lot of research on watch winders. I finally decided on this vs the Wolf brand. The unit is in our bedroom, about 15 feet from us and when both motors are running, you can't hear it. I have been very happy with it from the noise level, reliability and stylishness of it. The only negative thing about it is the size, it's bigger than I expected, but other than that, everything else about it is great.

MD: In owning a lot of watches, many of them automatics, I've become pretty familiar with the world of watch winders. Heiden has proven to be a reliable and decently priced option. Chiyoda has actually become my main brand for winders, because of their full featured models at such low prices -- I'd rather spend money on another watch, than on a super pricey winder that doesn't do any more than a more affordable one -- but Heiden is another brand which continues to serve me well.
I have quite a few of these dual ones, along with single winders from Heiden, and even a quad winder from them. All have held up well as the years have passed and this one is working perfectly.
I like this model because it also can run for months on batteries, which is great because this one is located where there really isn't a wall outlet close by, and I'd rather not run a long extension cord for it, so I really appreciate that it has the option of battery power. Using D cell batteries, they last for quite some time.
It isn't a "Cadillac" of winders, but my need is for something that works reliably, and still looks nice, and this fills the bill. Simple spring pillows are used to hold the...

John H. Hyman: Works very well and although large, fit on my dresser nicely. Batteries or AC is an excellent option. UPDATE: one side of the dual winder has ceased working and the internal gears appears to be stripped. A little surprised and disappointed... the watch used on that side was a mechanical chronograph but not terribly heavy.

Warren Timmer: The Heiden Battery Powered Double Watch Winder achieves my highest marks for looks and functional flexibility-- especially the battery operation. I use the AC power option most of the time, but it is very convenient to have the battery power option for when I need to put my watches into a safe.
The winding operation is nearly silent and is highly configurable, with options for direction and duration.
But people with larger-sized wrists should beware: the watch holders seem to made for very slender wrists. If you've had any links added to your band, or use the longest length setting on a standard band, then the included holders will be too small. As a result the longer-banded watches will flop around, which makes noise and is disconcerting to see.
The size issue is especially problematic with clasp-style watches such as Rolex, since shrinking the band size to fit the holder would take specialized tools and more than a few minutes to accomplish. And who wants to re-adjust their watch band every morning anyway? This can be solved by adding additional foam to the standard holder (thus increasing circumference) to make the longer watch bands fit tightly, but if you...

Mike: This winder runs great. I’ve had it a few months and haven’t had any issues at all. Super quiet too.
