The ONLY drawback I can find is that for gamers who use pedals, or move a lot, these wheels allow the chair to move back quite easily and maybe put you out of the desired position for the pedals, etc., so there’s that. I ended up using a couple door stops to keep the chair still for my kids when they need it.

Daphndante: I never write reviews and here I am reviewing wheels for a deal chair, that's how good they are.
I bought 3 sets for 3 different office chairs and they fit all perfect, only one note they are a bit taller than the original plastic ones but most office chairs are height adjustable so no big deal.
Installation is extremely simple, flip the chair and pull out the old casters and push these in. They fit nice and tight so they will not slip out.
They are completely silent, you cannot hear the chair when it moves at all which is a big deal for me as my son rocks it back and forth as he does his homework.
They change direction 1000x better than the originals and being rubber they will not scratch or mark the floor.
I was originally looking for felt rollers I had previously purchased and bought these instead. They far exceed the felt rollers as those still had issues changing direction when moving the chairs around.
Although these seem quite pricey they are extremely sturdy and can be moved from chair to chair as you replace chairs. I imagine they will outlive me.

GRK_Astronomer: The math was easy … ~$24.00 for these casters or $100+ for a floor mat to protect apartment pseudo-industrial carpeting … a.k.a., contractor grade. The wheels werre everybit as easy to install as the miserable ones packaged with office chairs these days, and the chair rolls very easily over the carpet. Just remember, you’ll be adding about an inch to the height of the chair.

These work so well, I have ordered them for my sisters office chair she uses while grooming dogs. Less hassles with dog hair getting caught up in the cheap two wheel plastic casters.

I won’t hesitate to recommend these. Zoom, zoom.

Lewis A Edge Jr: One of the wheels on my office chair's dual-wheeled two-inch castors, broke throwing my chair off balance. Since the chair was just one year old and still in very good condition, I ordered these three-inch replacement castors.

Using a large screw driver and a little leverage, I popped off the old castors and snapped in this set of five, which fit perfectly. Since the wheels are an inch larger in diameter and smooth, I found that they roll much more smoothly on hardwood without marring it and rugs than did the old castors. They also increased the height of the chair slightly.

Unlike the old castors that had plastic housings and plastic wheel axles, these castor frames and axles appear to be made of metal. That might why the wheels on these castors appear to be much more robust than the OEM castors that came with my chair. In summary, it appears that the positive reviews of these castors were justified, but I have not been using these castors long enough to know if they'll outlast the original ones. However, they do appear to be better made, so I'm optimistic.

Barnacle Bill: Perfect substitution: Pop the old wheels out, pop these in. Flip the chair and take off. These wheels help my wife and her new chair negotiate the perilous transition between the plastic chair pad and the carpet of her quilting studio with no fuss. They installed easily, they work as advertised, they solved a problem, and I don't have to hear any complaining. Money well spent.
