Rick: Easy to install, roll well on carpet and hard surfaces, they also gave my chair that 1/2 to 1" better lift. I should have bought these a year ago, they look and act like they will last much longer than the original cheap wheels.
I would recommend these to anyone with an office chair that has cheap wheels on it. They are well worth the price.

Joe D.: These casters are absolute 5 star as to quality. They are the same as roller blade wheels; spin freely and roll silently. The only difficulty I had with the installation, which I fully expected, was with the diameter of the peg that fits into the chair leg. They are 7/16" diameter, although the size advertised is in thousandths of an inch, something like .437" I was installing them on a desk chair from Ikea which were slightly undersize (probably metric) at .433" so I had to drill out the holes in the chair legs to allow them to fit. Fortunately the inserts are plastic and drilled quite easily. Once fitted, the casters performed as advertized. Overall, I give them 4 stars, only because they do not mention the possiblilty that they may not fit a common size, or have adapter sleeves to make them fit more products.

Tim Blair: Had to drill out the holes in my chair a bit to make them fit. Once that happened, all good however, they are built well enough, and roll well without damaging hardwood or picking up dirt. Good upgrade!

May: We have hard floors and in the past our office chairs have done serious damage to laminate. I tried several different options for floor mats and even then bits of dirt were getting under the mat and scratching up the floors. It was really frustrating to try so hard to protect them and see them just keep getting worse.

New floors now, and we were absolutely determined to find a way. My husband did some research and found these.

Previously I could hear the plastic wheels of his chair actually grinding the dirt into the floor.

These are almost silent. They roll smooth as butter. Sometimes they roll a tiny bit too easy and I have to hold my chair in place. So far, 2 1/2 months in, I see absolutely no signs of damage to the floors.

Please note that we have office chairs for everyone in the house plus one additional one. We use them for school, work, and games.

And we think these are so great that we have replaced the wheels of every single office chair with these. I swear to you, the chair is even more comfortable to sit on. I think these add a little bit of extra cushion.

I don't know how they behave on carpet but they are absolutely awesome...

Sandra V.: Replaced the stock wheels on my 12 year old Embody chair, and what a difference. Buddy had warned me that rollerblade-type wheels were hard to turn with, but not finding that with these ones. Slides on the hardwood great, pretty much silent, and turns no problem. Desk area looks much nicer now without that old plastic protector mat as well. Very happy with the purchase. (box was pretty beat up during shipping, but no damage to the wheels, so all good)

TsengFayt: BIGGER, LONGER, AND PARTIALLY CUT:

I bought these for a gaming chair that cost me nearly $400 but had garbage wheels and the base of which was too low, causing the gas cylinder to scrape my hardwood. Seeing as these are 3" tall, they are perfect to both lift the base higher off the ground and keep my hardwood in great shape. The only gripe I have is that the pegs that connect to the chair base are longer than other replacement wheels and so I had to drill the hole deeper to make these things fit. My chair base is plastic to that was easy enough, but if you have a metal chair base, I would HIGHLY suggest triple checking the length measurements to make sure they aren't too short or too long.

THE SQUEAKY WHEEL GETS THE GREASE (OR IN THIS CASE LEAVES NEGATIVE FEEDBACK):

The biggest complaints I see for these types of wheels in general, but pointedly at this specific listing, are that they still leave marks on floors, are hard to move/cannot pivot, and/or the ball bearings are crap and come apart easily.

MOURNING WOOD:

I can say without a doubt these things don't leave marks on hardwood. I don't use a chair mat and have no need for one, especially...
