Amazon Customer: My local grocery ran out of lard but as expected, Amazon has a variety of brands! I picked this one after analyzing my choices. I picked a good one… nothing more to say except that I’ll set up a repeat order and relieve myself of having to ever ‘shop” for lard again. — Note; if you want to make AUTHENTIC tasting homemade tortillas, lard is the BEST choice over vegetable oil or butter. KLRP: I remember my grandmother, born 1918 using lard for cooking. Then mother, Crisco. Me, none of the above. Then I wanted to make "Toads-n-a-hole". Without the lard it falls short, deflated! Used the lard and low and behold a flavor I don't remember existed! I truly believe in moderation, the flavor far outweighs every negative the health nuts (me included) can scream "will kill you"!! Happy cooking!!

Jim McElhaney: Item arrived in a paper mailing envelope. Not good considering the lard is in a plastic tub and at some point was subjected to some type of force that punctured the plastic tub. Now I have to keep the tub in another container. Great product by Goya but bad shipping practice by the seller.
