Michael: I can definitely see what Gilmour would use this particular set, they have such a smooth bend, and a crisp tone that sustains for a long time. I was just looking for a set for my new HSS strat, and David Gilmour's name sold me on this one. I've bought 5 packs of these now, I definitely like them. One bad thing, they seem to wear out a little quicker than other strings and loose that super crisp tone faster than I like. They're cheap though, so you'll have to weigh out if that's worth it yourself!

Giovanni: Le ho montare oggi ma di fatto non le ho ancora provate come si deve. Sulla strato Il suono è molto clean, alla Gilmour x capirci, ma devo testarle sui distorti per dargli una valutazione completa. In ogni caso il rapporto qualità/prezzo sembra più che buono.

G: I love these strings well priced and you can really bend them. Don’t think I’ve ever broke one of these strings. Even after some pretty big bends like 12fret bend upto 15fret usually bends like that break strings but not these. I play a lot of Gilmour so it makes sense to use his strings also I have his pickups and basically built a copy of his red Strat from Remember that night. With the guitar I built finishing off with these strings and the effects setup folks have said I sound really good and actually sound like Gilmour. What can I say apart from excellent!

swmagicien: Been using a set of 10s for about two months. I bought these mainly because of the price, the name David Gilmour, and also because I wanted to try GHS strings. I bought 10s although I usually use 9s from another brand.

These seem like very good quality strings. Tone is fine. Have had some problems with strings binding in the nut but I think it's because the nut was cut for 9s and it's not a problem with the strings themselves. They hold tune well. They also seem to resist corrosion better than some other well known brands.

I generally prefer 9s for bending but haven't had problems bending with these (other than binding in the nut which is a nut problem and not a string problem). Still I'd be hesitant to recommend these 10s for a blues based player whose bread and butter is bends.
