GHS GBXL Electric Guitar Strings – For Exceptional Tone and Durability

Bill: Take this review as you will, I may be biased as I've been a D'Addario dude for as long as I've played, (many moons), so I'm not sure which is better at this point. Maybe that's a compliment. The tone sounds good (as far as I can tell. The feel is good, they seem to stretch about the same as my other strings, so I can't really find a downside to them. I know there are fans of each brand, but honestly, I think imo they're on par if not the same (could be better?) than what I normally use.

So all that being said, I would recommend them no matter what brand you have used in the past. Unless you're a purist, in that case, why are you looking at other strings anyway? :D

Joeagain: I used to be a Fender strings supporter. Still do like them for their chiminess on my Squier's, especially.
But after using a set of GHS 10's on my LP copy, I may just have switched preferences!
Used a set of GHS 9's on a Squier Bullet - which is a typical beginner grade electric - and it really sounds great! Nice, sweet highs, and the low notes and power chords have a nice cutting edge to them.
So far, they seem very durable, and I could feel a difference in touch quality even as I was stringing the guitar!
The price was right, too, I might add.

JasonS: These are my go to strings for electric guitar. The stay in tune pretty good. Sound great and are reasonably priced. Once they start sounding a bit “dead” it’s time to replace them. For me they don’t break as often as some of the other brands I’ve tried.

Alessandro Walter: Ho usato questo tipo di corde sia per una 25.5" che per una 25" e in entrambi i casi si sono dimostrate moderatamente più longeve rispetto alla concorrenza. Le ho dovute cambiare dopo circa due mesi da quando le ho montate, mentre le corde standard delle marche concorrenti mi durano normalmente non più di un mese. Il feeling delle corde è più duro rispetto alle altre marche di corde, ma è una caratteristica che amo visto che la minore flessione della corda permette di suonare più velocemente a parità di spessore della corda e del plettro.
