Frances: This book was great. This was a new author for me and I was alittle skeptical but this was a great book never boring kept me wanting to continue. So I ordered the next 2 on the series.

Connie: I knew of the Cathars, , but not the Ustacha or the many ways the Vatican could, and did, assist the Nazis to escape and I had no idea of The millions of dollars tucked away in the Vatican due to lack of ownership. The secrets o& the Vatican have long intrigued me. I found this book a fast paced read that I really enjoyed. It was difficult to remember that it was mostly fiction.

Hector E.: This is great book, it kept my interest from beginning to end, I knew about the alleged complicity between the Vatican ( Pious Xll) and the Nazis but certainly nothing about the criminal organization in Croatia. The premise of the book is fascinating and totally believable that makes the reader think about the implications that this story could have on Christianity and perhaps the world if it were true.
Highly recommend it.

Amazon Customer: Gary McAvoy writing style drew me in from the prologue.

The character development was excellent.

I had never heard of the Ushtasha, and found this part of the story while horrifying, to be revelatory. I knew anout the Church's "neutrality" during WWII. Learning about it's complicity with the Nazis, the Ustasha and greed is distressing. Not surprising though now that we know more about Pope Pious XII.

I am anxious to start the Magdalene Reliquary.

Kathleen: This is the second McAvoy I have read. Like his easy to read style. Similar to Silvas plot scenario. however I found the resolve a let down after all the drama.

Mel: Well researched and a thoroughly good read

Ernestina: I have read three of these from the same author. This is book 1 and describes a historical (fictitious I imagine) event and a mystery surrounding it. Our hero and friends must solve the mystery and bring home the goods.
The main character is a cross between lara croft and Indiana Jones with a large fortune at his back and loyal friends to help him in his quest.
There may also be a glamorous but capable female to balance out the mostly male cast and add some interest to the story.

The author appears to know a fair bit about deep sea diving with various technical details added in for authenticity.

Not a bad read and not too steamy . Would make a decent action film.
